Nezha Automobile was first established in 2018, as a member of the new car-making forces, its Nezha U has successfully attracted the attention of many consumers with its sci-fi design and many "black technology" configurations. Nowadays, this car has also launched a revised and upgraded model, and renamed Nezha U Pro, the new car not only reduces the overall price a lot, but also has a greater increase in the mileage. According to the data of the car quality network, as of press time, the cumulative number of complaints about the 2021 Nezha U Pro is 10 cases, and the complaint sales ratio is much lower than the annual complaint sales volume of domestic passenger cars in 2020, which is 31.9 per 10,000, and the short-term quality word-of-mouth performance is worth affirming. In the future, can the car continue the existing quality reputation performance? Will there be some new problems that are difficult for ordinary consumers to discover? This issue of "New Car Commodity Evaluation" will break through the fog for you, and restore a real Nezha U Pro through the two dimensions of objective data and subjective feelings.
1. Objective data
This project mainly shows the performance of the new car in terms of commerciality in the form of objective data through field tests of 12 items such as body technology, paint film level, interior air quality, noise from the car, static vibration in the car, parking radar and lighting/vision.
In the body process testing session, a total of 10 key parts of the vehicle are selected, and 3 key points are selected for measurement in each key part to evaluate the uniformity of the gaps in each key part. Judging from the test results, the uniformity of most of the key point gap data of Nezha U Pro is worthy of affirmation, and the difference between the left and right gap values is not large. However, the average gap between the trunk and the fenders on both sides is larger than other parts, but it has little impact on the test results.
In the paint film level test, the test found that the front fenders and trunk cover of the car were non-metallic, so no valid values could be measured. Through the test results, it can be found that the average thickness of the vehicle paint film of Nezha U Pro is about 205.3μm, which has exceeded the standard value of the advanced car (120μm -150μm). Judging from the test data of each key part, the thickness of the paint film in most parts of the vehicle is maintained at more than 160μm, and the thickness of the paint film is worthy of recognition. However, the average thickness of the paint film on the left rear door is relatively low, while the right rear fender is relatively high, and the side also reflects that there is room for improvement in the uniformity of the paint film spray of Nezha U Pro.
In the in-vehicle air quality testing link, the vehicle is placed in the internal surface parking lot with fewer vehicles, although the formaldehyde is not detected in the car of Nezha U Pro, which is in line with the relevant standards in the "Guidelines for Air Quality Evaluation in Passenger Vehicles" (National Standard of the People's Republic of China GB/T 27630-2011) jointly issued by the former Ministry of Environmental Protection and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine since March 1, 2012. It should be noted that the content of inhalable particulate matter such as PM2.5 in the car is slightly higher, or related to the external test environment on the day.
In the static noise test link, because the Nezha U Pro is a pure electric vehicle type, when starting the vehicle, the noise transmitted to the car by the motor during work is also very limited, which basically does not cause nuisance to the drivers and occupants in the car, and the measured results in the idle speed and static state are 30dB.
In the air conditioning noise test, the test instrument is placed at a position of about 10cm from the air conditioner outlet, and then the air conditioning air volume is adjusted from small to large, and the noise value of the driver's position in different gears is measured. After actual measurement, the air conditioner adjustment of Nezha U Pro is divided into 7 gears, and the noise value measured when opening the highest grade is 67.5dB, which is at the upper middle level in the same level of models tested.
Since the Nezha U Pro adopts a pure electric power system, after actual measurement, the vibration value measured by the steering wheel is always 0 in the two states of idle speed and load. Relatively speaking, the vibration value measured at the front and rear seat test points under load is 0.1mm/s, and the body feeling is not obvious.
In addition, we tested parking radar, lights/vision, control systems, tire hubs, sunroofs, seats, and trunks. After actual measurement, the length of the front seat cushion of Nezha U Pro is 480mm, which is relatively short, and the support for the legs is slightly poor. The rear seat backrest angle of the car is 104.3°, which is more comfortable to ride and avoids fatigue during long-distance rides. In addition, when the Nezha U Pro rear reversing radar continues to beep, the closest distance to the rear obstacle is 35m, and the front radar is 20cm, which is different from the test experience value.
Second, subjective feelings
The project was subjectively evaluated by a number of reviewers on the actual performance of the new car in terms of static and dynamics. Among them, the static aspect includes four parts: exterior, interior, space and human-computer interaction; the dynamic aspect includes acceleration, braking, steering, driving experience and driving safety. Finally, the total score is given with reference to the subjective evaluation opinions given by the judges, so as to reflect the actual performance of the new car in terms of commerciality from the perspective of subjective feelings.
In the external evaluation, the performance of the Nezha U Pro is basically in line with expectations, and the front face of the car adopts the "Polar Light" LED headlight group, which includes LED daytime running lights, interactive breathing lights and through-type rear tail lights. When the vehicle is unlocked, the daily running light is also equipped with a light source that displays the power, which is conducive to the driver to judge the remaining power of the vehicle.
In addition, the car key still adopts the hot wheel style, and can be rotated like a fingertip top, which has a high playability, but the key does not provide a mechanical key, which is slightly inconvenient to use in special cases. In terms of function, the main driver of Nezha U Pro is still equipped with a keyless entry function, when the driver approaches with the key in hand, he can directly pull the door handle outward. Although the other three doors are equipped with devices with similar contacts, they do not actually have a keyless entry function, which is easy to mislead consumers.
The interior of the car is relatively simple, and the straight center console and the air conditioning outlet that runs through it have a strong sense of layering. The car's center console also adopts dual 12.3-inch LCD meters and 8-inch air conditioning control panels, which show delicate display effects and touch sensitivity worthy of recognition. In terms of details, the car's central armrest area is small and fixed, and the flexibility needs to be strengthened. When experiencing it internally, the car's air conditioning adjustment knob and volume knob will appear slightly loose during operation, and there is room for improvement in process details. In addition, the steering wheel of Nezha U Pro is large in size and does not support front and rear adjustment, which affects the driving experience to a certain extent.
The interior of the Nezha U Pro has a relatively large sitting space, and there is a lot of head and legs. In terms of storage space, the front storage space is more abundant, and there is a large storage slot behind the knob shift mechanism. But what needs to be complained about is that Nezha U Pro designs the front cup holder under the center console, which is very inconvenient to use. The rear armrest design is slightly innovative, using a double-layer cover plate design, lowering the cover plate to form two cup holders with limiters and paper drawer boxes; lifting the cover plate will form a large storage space.
The 12.3-inch central control screen is clearer, the internal intelligent operating system is more responsive, and it can support Tencent Video, QQ Music, Douyin, etc. in the case of network. The car voice interaction recognition rate is high, can be voice adjustment multimedia, navigation, etc., while the car voice interaction does not need to wake up, directly say the order, such as "open navigation" and so on. Nezha U Pro is also equipped with a small You intelligent robot, which has a facial recognition function, when logging in to the car machine account, the camera will recognize the face corresponding to the account to automatically log in and adjust the relevant settings in the car. During the driving, the small You intelligent robot can also realize the fatigue driving reminder function.
Powerly, Nezha U is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor, the maximum power of the motor is 150kW, the maximum torque is 310N·m, and the ternary lithium battery equipped with it has a maximum cruising range of 610km under the condition of NEDC, which has obvious advantages in the same class of models.
In terms of driving modes, the car offers three driving modes: economy, comfort and sport, and the color of the dashboard and the kinetic energy recovery gear change when the modes are switched. In Comfort mode, the power performance is lighter, the acceleration pedal is more heeled, and daily overtaking and merging is not effortless. In economy mode, the power output will appear softer, while in the sport mode, the power response is rapid and the acceleration is more positive. Thanks to the double-layer design of the windows, the interior silence effect is good when driving at high speeds, and the noise is well suppressed except for the unavoidable wind noise.
The first half of the Nezha U Pro brake is slightly soft, the driver's confidence is slightly insufficient, and the braking force in the middle and rear section will gradually increase, if the consumer who has just touched the car needs to adapt more. Nezha U Pro supports single pedal mode, need to switch in the parking state, after opening there will be two different parking modes, namely "creep" and "stop", in the creep mode, the overall feeling is similar to the feeling when driving a fuel car to collect oil, and in the stop mode, there is a strong sense of dragging.
The car has a lighter steering force and a strong electronic flavor when steering, but this setting is to make daily driving easier, in addition, the car's directivity is more accurate, which is very in line with its home positioning. In addition, the driver can also set the steering mode to make it more in line with their driving habits.
The suspension system of the car adopts a combination of front McPherson independent suspension and rear multi-link independent suspension, and the suspension combination is adjusted by the British Mira chassis, which has high overall comfort and strong lateral support when cornering. Thanks to the battery layout of the new energy vehicle, the car has a low center of gravity when driving, and when there is a slight bump on the road, it can filter the fine bumps on the road surface very well.
Nezha U Pro is equipped with ACC full-speed adaptive cruise system, which can realize L2 level automatic driving, and when the speed exceeds 30km/h, the system can be opened. In practice, the car can quickly identify the lane in front and the vehicle, and the system can quickly adjust when the vehicle is offset. The vehicle will also follow the front car to start and brake, in the distance with the car, the car and the front car slightly larger distance, at this time if other lanes of vehicles to the front of the test car parallel, the system will quickly detect, and make a deceleration action, this is still commendable.

Based on the above tests, it is not difficult to see that the 2021 Nezha U Pro basically meets the expectations of the expert jury in terms of objective data and subjective feelings. In terms of objective data, although the gap between the left and right sides of the car is small as a whole, there is still a slightly larger gap between the trunk and the rear fenders on both sides. In terms of the level of paint film, the overall paint film thickness of the car is worthy of recognition, but there is still room for optimization of spray uniformity. At the level of subjective feelings, Nezha U Pro meets the quality that a family car should have, and the sci-fi appearance and high-tech interior have improved the car experience, but at the same time, there are some details that are not well considered, which brings inconvenience to the car. On the whole, Nezha U Pro performed well in this commercial test, and was in the middle and upper reaches of the same level of models tested.
