According to the VGC's report, the Vehicle of Fire reboot game has changed developers. The project has allegedly moved from Lucid Games to a first-party PlayStation studio in Europe and is currently in the early stages of production. While the news hasn't cited specific reasons yet, the cold reception of "Destroying the All-Stars" may be one of the reasons.
The studio's name wasn't mentioned, but considering its headquarters in Europe, it's easy to narrow down the list. The most likely studio is Liverpool-based XDev, which also helped develop All-Stars of Destruction. There are also rumors that XDev is working on a new Anti-Gravity Racing game. It was previously reported that the new "Chariot of Fire" will use a free model, but it remains to be seen whether this plan will change with the change of studio.
