Xinmin Evening News (Reporter Wang Wei) The School of Cultural Heritage and Information Management of Shanghai University was established yesterday. The college was established on the basis of the Department of Library, Information and Archives of Shanghai University, the Archaeology Major of the Faculty of Letters, and the Institute of Basic Sciences of Cultural Heritage Protection, and has strong strength in talent training, discipline construction, faculty, scientific research, international cooperation, social services, etc., marking a new stage in the construction of cultural heritage and information management disciplines.

President Liu Changsheng announced the appointment of Mr. Shan Jixiang, former director of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, former president of the Palace Museum and president of the Chinese Society of Cultural Relics, as honorary dean of the School of Cultural Heritage and Information Management, Ding Huadong as the secretary of the party committee of the college, Huang Jizhong as the dean, and Jin Bo as the academic leader.

Cheng Danhong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai University, hopes that the College will keep an eye on the forefront of international disciplines, face the major strategic needs of national cultural heritage and information management, and focus on the development of digital archive resources, marine archaeology, silicate cultural relics protection, wisdom museums and other directions based on its own advantages and characteristics, and cultivate high-level composite interdisciplinary talents.

In order to help the development of the college, Huizhou Seaton Industrial Development Co., Ltd. and Shanghai entrepreneur Ms. Enron generously donated, Sidon Industry donated RMB 1 million and the market value of 1.01 million yuan museum professional lamps, and Ms. Enron donated RMB 1 million.

Shan Jixiang opened the "Dean's First Lesson" through video: "Chinese Context and Cultural Self-Confidence".
