01 Vertigo, tinnitus, hearing loss associated with Meniere's disease

Adult (domestic usage)

▎1.1.1 Indications

Used to treat vertigo, tinnitus, and hearing loss associated with Meniere's disease (Meniere's syndrome)[1].

▎1.1.2 Dosage

■Tablets:

The starting dose is 4 mg three times daily, preferably with meals, adjusting the dose according to age and symptoms, with a maximum daily dose of 48 mg[1].

Usually, adults take 1-2 tablets (betatastine mesylate 6-12 mg at a time) three times a day, orally after meals, depending on age and symptoms [3].

■Oral liquid:

take orally. 10-20 mg (half-to-1) three times a day [5].

■Injection:

Intravenous infusion. 500 ml (0.02 g with betahistine hydrochloride and 4.5 g sodium chloride) once daily, infused slowly intravenously, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner [6].

Limit 1 to 2 tablets (4-8 mg) 2 to 4 times daily, with a maximum daily dose of 48 mg [2].

It is used to treat acute ischemic cerebrovascular diseases such as cerebral thrombosis, cerebral embolism, and transient cerebral insufficiency [2].

It has the effect of dilating cerebral blood vessels, heart blood vessels and peripheral blood vessels. Can be used to treat ischemic cerebrovascular disease [4].

Medication during pregnancy

There are no sufficient data on the use of betahistine in pregnant women. There are insufficient animal studies on the effects of this product on pregnancy, embryonic/fetal development, childbirth and postpartum development. The potential risk to humans is unknown, and bevitalistine should not be used during pregnancy unless the benefit outweighs the risk[1].

Medication during lactation

It is unclear whether betahistine is secreted from breast milk. At present, there is no study on whether this product is secreted from the milk of animals.
