On January 8, Huishan District signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Geely Holding Group, and Geely's high-performance electric drive project signed a contract at the same time.

Geely Holding Group's layout and construction of a high-performance electric drive project with an annual production capacity of more than 600,000 units in Wuxi has injected strong impetus into Wuxi's accelerated construction of a modern industrial system, and will surely write a new chapter of mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation between Geely and Wuxi.
It is hoped that the two sides will take this signing as an opportunity to work together to accelerate the construction of the project, promote the early landing of "10 billion-level investment" and the early effect of "10 billion-level output", and accelerate the construction of the "Electric Driving Force Valley" with first-class and national influence in the Yangtze River Delta;
Work together to build an automotive industry ecosystem, give play to Geely's leading role, attract and gather more upstream and downstream supporting enterprises, incorporate more local enterprises into Geely's supply chain system, and jointly cultivate a world-class new energy automobile industry cluster;

The high-performance electric drive project landed in Wuxi will face the global high-end customer market, have independent intellectual property rights and leading advantages in a number of core technology fields, and look forward to the project to start construction early, build early, put into production early, and contribute new strength to the construction of a world-class new energy industry cluster in Wuxi with new brands, new images and new technologies.
The Geely high-performance electric drive project signed this time has a total investment of 10 billion yuan, mainly engaged in the research and development, production and sales of high-performance electric drive series products, and plans 600,000 sets of new energy powertrains.
As the main investment body of the project, Geely Power has the world's top R&D strength in the fields of engine, transmission, hybrid, electric drive and other fields, and is the first enterprise in China to independently develop transmission machines for export to Europe.
As a new brand of Geely Power, Leishen Power will create its pure electric series products in Wuxi.
After the completion of the project, as the global headquarters of Geely Electric Drive and the main body of the future listing, it will further build an ecosystem integrating R&D, production to brand operation center, effectively promote the deep integration of Wuxi's automobile industry into the global industrial chain, supply chain and value chain, and accelerate the rise of Wuxi's world-class new energy automobile industry cluster.
