Bennett, despite his static talent, is technically crude and his offensive means are single. The NBA's game is getting faster and faster, and Tabit's speed and defense are difficult to adapt to. On February 25, 2011, Tabit was traded by the Grizzlies to the Rockets during his second season in the NBA, and the Grizzlies' patience lasted only one and a half seasons. On March 21, 2011, Tabit was sent by rocket to the Development Alliance. Just one year later, on March 15, 2012, the Rockets also decided to abandon Tabit and trade it to the Blazers.
In the summer of 2012, Tabit joined the Thunder and finally entered the team rotation. In 2012-13, he played in 66 regular season games, averaging 11.7 minutes per game and having 2.4 points and 2.9 rebounds.
