BlackBerry came out in the 1990s and became a popular mobile phone brand for business people and celebrities after entering the 2000s, including former US President Barack Obama. BlackBerry pioneered a full-keyboard body design that allows users to send and receive email, browse the web, and chat online with their own software. At its peak, it was ranked among the top three in the world, accumulating 80 million users. However, with the rise of smartphones such as Apple and Android, BlackBerry has gradually withdrawn from the market.
