From October 15 to 19 this year, in the "Father's 1949 - Youth Dream in the War" to find the descendants of the martyrs, I went to 13 villages in 6 places in the province for interviews, and I felt a lot in the face of the simple and sincere eyes of the interviewees.
70 years ago, their fathers went to the battlefield, spilled their blood and even sacrificed their lives in exchange for our happy life today. 70 years later, as a journalist, I traveled to 6 cities and 13 villages to search for the descendants of martyrs, hoping to restore the stories of heroes in words.
Some people say that in a lifetime, people will die three times.
The first time, it was the hospital that declared that it was a physiological death;
The second time, the end of the funeral, which represents the death of one's identity and status;
The third time, it is the idea expressed in the movie "Dream Quest", and the last person who remembers you forgets you, which means a complete disappearance.

In this "Father's 1949" search for the descendants of the Shandong martyrs of the Huaihai Campaign, what makes people feel deeply is that many martyrs are gradually being forgotten, and each search is like a "Dream Quest".
Qingshan buried loyal bones, and Ma Ge wrapped the body back. In Shandong, this red hot land, there are 301,600 martyrs buried, of which 232,000 are named martyrs.
The hourglass of time has skipped from the war-torn era more than 70 years ago, and is fixed in 2019, the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China, we look for the names of martyrs engraved on the heroes' monuments, trying to restore the image of heroes from their descendants.
However, the moment the martyrs went to the battlefield, they may never have thought about what happened behind them. The moment of heroic death did not leave a single word.

Martyr's place of origin: Houxiakou, Hujiazhuang Township, Gaomi County, Shandong (now part of Weifang City)

The information about the martyr Zhuang Yongkui records that there are only four short lines, simple and simple, and there is not even a date of birth or sacrifice.
What kind of person is he? What have been the deeds before and after the branch? How was it sacrificed?
These problems are drowned in the long river of history and quietly.
Martyr Zhuang Yongkui is the eldest in the family and has a younger brother. After the Battle of Huaihai began, Zhuang Yongkui bid farewell to his wife and children and went to Zhiqian, where there was no more news, and no one knew where he had gone. Later, the people in the village who went to the front of the branch came back one after another, and "some people said that he was sacrificed." The martyr's son, Zhuang Fulai, who is now 81 years old, recalls.
He was not yet 10 years old when his father died, and his mother never saw her husband again, raising her children alone, and died of illness soon after, leaving only her young children.
A pair of children were raised by the martyr's brother. Today, the only brother who knows more about the martyr Zhuang Yongkui has died more than a decade ago, and there are few objects about the martyr in the family, so few people remember him, and the children do not even know where the hero's father is buried.
"I don't remember anything else, I just remember my uncle saying that my father is a hero," said Zhuang Yulan, the daughter of martyr Zhuang Yongkui. The people in the village only know that there is a martyr named Zhuang Yongkui in the village, and they know nothing about his deeds.
When the staff of the Huaihai Battle Martyrs' Memorial Tower Management Bureau told Zhuang Yulan that the martyr Zhuang Yongkui was likely to be buried near Tushan mountain in Xuzhou, Zhuang Yulan shed tears and "wanted to move him back", and the old man wanted to move his father's ashes home and let his soul return to his hometown.
Martyrs, your name, should not be forgotten.
Martyr Wang Zhaoxiang
A native of Hanzhuang Village, Fei County, Shandong Province, a member of the Communist Party of China, born in 1921 and enlisted in the army in 1945.
He sacrificed his predecessor as the squad leader of the fourth company of the 67th Regiment of the 23rd Division of the Eighth Column of the East China Field Army, and he has made two battle achievements and has been selected as a model of combat. He died on November 15, 1948 in the Battle of Wangjiazhuang in the Battle of Huaihai at the age of 27.

Regarding that long period of time, Wang Zhaoxiang's two nephews only remember that a few years after receiving the notice of their uncle's death in the Battle of Huaihai, their grandparents died one after another, and the comrades who joined the army with their uncle did not want to tell about the bloody storms on the battlefield after returning home, and the two of them knew little about their uncle's experience.
"When he cried once, his mother always cried that people had left and didn't come back, and what kind of money was received this time?" Compared with his experience before joining the army, what impressed Fa Xiao Wang Zhaorong more deeply was that after Wang Zhaoxiang's sacrifice, the local government sent 1,000 kilograms of "red grain" to his family at one time, and issued a pension to his parents every year.
When Wang Zhaoxiang's relatives first read his heroic deeds from the materials of the Huaihai Battle Memorial Hall with tears in their eyes, it was 70 years after the hero's death.

According to incomplete statistics, about 20 million martyrs have heroically sacrificed for national independence, people's liberation, national prosperity and strength, and people's happiness. However, due to the limited conditions during the war years, many martyrs did not leave their names. At present, there are only more than 1.93 million famous martyrs in the country.
We must not forget the sacrifices of the martyrs.
