Chen Qing revealed that the Guangzhou New Year concert is basically at least half a year in advance to start planning, each year's repertoire selection is the top priority, "our concept is not to perform large tomes, all are short and concise, we want to make a big meal, meat and vegetarian collocation is definitely very exquisite, to have a low repetition rate to have enough repertoire to dabble in, so the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra at least in the New Year's concert repertoire accumulation, I believe is the first in the country."
