By 868, when the second period was full and everyone was happily preparing to return home, the war zone officials issued a second order from afar, which lasted for another year. And whether it will continue after a year, no one is sure to answer. Their appeals to the war zone were like hitting a rock.

Homesick soldiers may not be able to return after ten or twenty years except for mutiny. So they decided to go back on their own, and put a negative low-ranking officer Pang Xun as the leader, attacked the armory, obtained weapons, and destroyed all the resistance along the way. The central government was so shaken that it ordered a general amnesty and allowed them to return to their hometowns, while ordering local governments along the way to take care of them. Pang Xun and this group of fighters who were forced to rebel were not fools, they knew that once they returned to Xuzhou and disbanded, they would be followed by arrests and massacres. Therefore, after arriving in Xuzhou, he immediately attacked the city. The walls soon fell, and all the officials who insisted on the extension were caught and cut open.
