The establishment of the farmhouse bookstore is Yang Renren's lifelong wish, and when it comes to the reasons, his thoughts go back to the 50s of the last century.
Yang Renhe's father was a private teacher, and reading had a strong attraction to Yang Ren, when the family economy was very difficult, the lack of books and reading in the countryside was very serious, and buying books could be said to be a very luxurious thing. In order to buy a comic strip, Yang Ren repeatedly asked his father, who had to hide from his mother and take out one-tenth of the money from his salary of 6 yuan a month to let him buy books.
At that time, 6 dimes, but the family's salt money for half a year, my mother knew about this matter, and my father had a big quarrel. To this end, yang ren in his youth made up his mind that after one day earning money, he must buy many books and make reading a "common thing".
After graduating from the normal college in 1969, Yang Ren went to Yunlong County to work as a teacher in the alpine mountains, and at that time, the monthly salary was about 30 yuan, so he took out 3 yuan of one-tenth of the salary to buy books. The school is more than 40 kilometers away from the county seat, and if he is lucky, he can catch a horse-drawn carriage, but most of the time he walks between the county seat and the school, and Phi Xing Dai Yue enjoys it.
With the development of the economy and society, the salaries of teachers continue to rise, and this "tenth" of the purchase of books is also increasing, insisting on it until now, it has been half a century, accumulating more than 30,000 books.

The dream of his youth is deeply rooted in Yang Ren's heart, in order to let the children in the village have a paradise for extracurricular learning and let the books purchased over the years play a greater role, Yang Ren devoted himself to the establishment of the public welfare bookstore after retirement. In addition to sorting out and numbering the books in his collection, Yang Ren often went to Shimonoseki to buy new books, and even went to Shanghai to see his son and did not forget to bring back a few books.
After years of preparation and efforts, in 2008, the "House for Humanity" Rural Public Welfare Book House was officially opened in his old house with civil structure. However, as the number of borrowers increases, problems also arise, and due to the limited carrying capacity of old houses, borrowers can only enter in batches due to safety concerns.
In order to optimize the reading environment and build a spacious and bright new book house, Yang Ren launched his three children to contribute funds and borrow money from relatives and friends, under his sincere inspiration, in 2018, the new book house was officially completed, with a construction area of about 360 square meters. There are four floors upstairs and downstairs, except for the rooms reserved for the three children, almost every room is filled with books, and the old couple still lives in the old house. These books are all-encompassing, including children's picture books, teaching aids, scientific encyclopedias, literature and art, red classics and so on.

In the long time of founding the bookstore, these numbers and slanders from others have also made Yang Renren discouraged. Thinking about it, because the low level of education in rural areas has led to some people having such ideas, which has also strengthened Yang Ren's determination to run a good bookstore, he hopes that through his own meager strength, he will make the rural masses fall in love with reading and improve the overall cultural literacy.
At present, the "Rural Public Welfare Bookstore" of Renren Home is not only a paradise for children to learn outside the classroom, but also a "gas station" for farmers to learn breeding and breeding techniques, and a new position for the study and education of party history, which has drawn a strong stroke for the construction of Shuxiang Haidong. "Opening a bookstore is another form of 'teaching' that I have been a teacher all my life, and I am just doing something that I have not yet done." Yang Renren said.

Born in 1949, Yang Ren witnessed the development and prosperity of the motherland and deeply felt that today's happy life is not easy to come by. On weekdays, while guarding the "House of Humanity", he is also immersed in reading, encouraging young people to read for the future of the country and the hope of the nation with the practical action of "living to the old and learning from the old", and thanking this great era with the strength of youth.
