China's weakest dynasty is rarely recorded in history books, but the name of the emperor is well known

In the history of China, there have been many dynasties, and they have added a brilliant chapter to the history of China. Some of them are as long as the Zhou Dynasty, existing for 791 years, and some are as short as Da shun, which only exists for more than 40 days. However, for people, they are actually more existential, even the Great Schism of the Southern and Northern Dynasties has many dynasties known to people, such as Northern Qi, Northern Wei, and Southern Chen. But there is a dynasty whose emperor's name is well known to everyone, but this dynasty has no sense of existence, and a large part of the reason why it is known to everyone is that it appears in Jin Yong's book.

In 1963, Jin Yong began a four-year creation, mainly based on the era of Song Zhezong. To tell about the martial enmity and ethnic contradictions between several kingdoms, it is "Tianlong Babu". "Tianlong Babu" has been adapted into movies, TV series, comics, and games many times, and the forty-first time of the novel was even selected into the middle school textbook in 2005. For it, people should be more familiar, there is a pair of "father and son" are extremely annoying peach blossoms. The father has entangled relations with Qin Hongmian, Gan Baobao, Ruan Xingzhu, Li Qingluo, and Kang Min, and the illegitimate children are even more numerous, but the orthodox sons are not his own.

And the son unknowingly provoked his own "sisters", the father and son are Duan Zhengchun and Duan Yu, they are the emperors of the most non-existent dynasty. This dynasty is the Dali Kingdom, and they actually have prototypes in history, and they are also father and son. Duan Zhengchun is still called Duan Zhengchun, and Duan Yu is actually called Duan Zhengyan in history. In history, they are very different from the novel, and they do not have that chivalrous jianghu experience, nor do they have martial arts.

It is said that Duan Zhengchun in the history books actually does not have so many affairs, and he also recorded a passage of praise for his wife in the "Dali Ancient Book Notes", which shows that the two are still more affectionate. Duan Zhengyan, on the other hand, was the emperor who reigned for the longest time and lived the longest in Dali. Dali is a multi-ethnic regime established in the southwest, with a land area of about 720,000 square kilometers. It is also the northern part of present-day Yungui and Myanmar, Thailand and Laos.

Buddhism was revered throughout Dali, and most of the successive monarchs became zen monks in their twilight years and then became monks. The earliest monarch was named Duan Siping, and Duan Siping's ancestor Duan Jianwei defeated the Tang Dynasty in the Great Hall Tianbao War, giving great military achievements to the Nanzhao state. The title qingping official given to him by the king of Nanzhao was passed down to Duan Siping, who, due to the influence of his family lineage, was also a master of martial arts from an early age and became a major general of the ruling side. At this time, Nanzhao was already in danger, and was successively replaced by the Great Changhe Kingdom, the Great Heavenly Xingguo, and the Great Yining Kingdom, during which the people were not happy.

Duan Siping had an army, and after defeating the state of Dayining, he ascended the throne in the seventh year of the Ming Dynasty (937), and the name of the country was Dali, which was set at Yang Tho City, equivalent to the current city of Dali. However, dali's regime was actually unstable, and from the third generation onwards, there were frequent outbreaks of border turmoil, and there were faint princes like Duan Suxing in the middle. Frangipani is said to have been given his name, and because he was too absurd, he was eventually deposed in 1044, but it was still Duan who was in power.

However, Dali was actually divided into two periods, because in the middle period, it was usurped by people, just before Duan Zhengchun. After Duan Silian succeeded to the throne, Gao Shi had the merit of support, and once overridden everyone. Coupled with Gao Zhisheng's efforts to quell the Yang clan's rebellion on behalf of Duan Silian, the Gao family became more prosperous. To put it simply, the Gao clan has already made a contribution to the Earthquake Lord, or the Earthquake Lord that the Emperor cannot suppress. At this time, Gao Zhisheng's power was like Cao Cao in the Three Kingdoms period, and it was easy for him to become emperor. Duan Silian later ascended the throne, but his son was killed shortly after.

At this time, the Gao clan still chose the King of Qin, but their power was tilted against the opposition, and the successors Duan Shouhui and Duan Zhengming avoided the throne and became monks because they were afraid. Duan Zhengchun was Duan Zhengming's younger brother, and after Duan Zhengming abdicated, he was the one who supported him. Duan Zhengchun, who is a gentleman in the novel, did not have a good life in history, although he was an emperor, he was restricted to the Gao family everywhere. His throne was still given by Gao Shengtai by traditional forces, and later, probably helplessly, Duan Zhengchun ceded the throne to his son Duan Zhengyan in 1108 AD, and became a monk himself.

Similar to his father, Duan Zhengyan's dashing ease is only a novel, and although he is diligent, he is also subject to the Gao clan. As recorded in the "Chronicle of the DianYun Calendar": forty years of hard work, there is no way to save it. Presumably, his father, he felt more tired, and there was no turmoil during the Duan Zhengchun period. But when duan zhengyan arrived, not only did the Gao clan begin to infighting, but the subordinates below rebelled from time to time. Heaven did not give him face, natural disasters were frequent, and after only a few years in power, Duan Zhengyan was already exhausted.

In the end, he simply stopped doing it, and Guangyun abdicated in the eleventh year (1147). I have to say that there are really many emperors in Dali, there are only 22 emperors in total, and there are at least a dozen Zen monks. But in the fourth year of Song Chunyou (1244), Dali could no longer live in peace, because the Mongol army was coming. Mongolia, the regime established by Genghis Khan, never ceased to be at war, whether it was Genghis Khan or his descendants. Goryeo, Dongjin, Jinguo, Moscow, Poland, Hungary, Rome, Vienna all over the place.

Duan Xiangxing was very unfortunate to encounter the Mongol army's southern expedition, but Dali did not perish immediately, because the Great Khan's Nest Kuotai died. The Mongol army retreated back to fight for power, and when the civil unrest subsided, it returned, and the identity of the last emperor fell to Duan Xingzhi. He happened to meet Kublai Khan, who at that time supported his brother Möngke Khan as the Great Khan, and as a general, he opened up territory for Mongolia. The founding monarch of the Yuan Dynasty was so brave that a small Dali naturally did not pay attention to it, and in 1253 AD, Dali was destroyed, but nominally the Duan family was still in power. It was not until the seventh year of the Yuan Dynasty (1270) that the Yuan Dynasty set up a province in Dali.
