We all know what it is
Foggy weather and smog weather
It also learned about one of the three major factors that affect air quality
Calm the weather
So, what is inversion?
Why does high humidity exacerbate air pollution?
Let's take a look
[Chinese praise]
What is inversion?
Under normal circumstances, the ground temperature is high, the high altitude temperature is low, and the air flows from bottom to top, which helps the pollutants to spread vertically. But in the event of a temperature inversion, the situation is just the opposite, the high altitude temperature is higher than the ground, the vertical rise of the air is blocked, like a pot lid over the area, and the pollutants are difficult to spread.
The high humidity environment is conducive to the conversion of gaseous pollutants such as sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and ammonia into particulate matter of nitrate, sulfate, ammonium salt and other components, aggravating PM2.5 pollution.
