Never forget the atrocities committed by the Japanese in a small town in the fall of 1942

During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the Japanese Kou caused countless tragic cases in China, and there was a saying that "there was the Nanjing Massacre in the south and a thousand miles of no man's land in the north", and part of Kuancheng County in Hebei Province was in the "Thousand Mile No Man's Land" where the Japanese Kou bloodily mutilated Chinese people on the southwest border of puppet Manchukuo.

Compared with other occupied areas during the War of Resistance Against Japan, Kuancheng was controlled by the Japanese for a longer time, and it fell in 1933, and the Japanese Kou caused many tragedies in Kuancheng, and likewise, many anti-Japanese feats that could be sung and wept took place in that land.

Today's veterans want to talk about a tragic case created by the Japanese in Kuancheng County. Kuancheng was home to a pseudo-county police station during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, where the Japanese Kou committed three horrific and bloody massacres from October to November 1942. In September prior to that, under the leadership of the anti-Japanese armed forces, the people of Kuancheng County carried out a major sabotage of the communications, transportation, and other facilities of the Japanese Kou, and the anti-Japanese soldiers and civilians dug dozens of trenches on the main highway trunk lines from Xifengkou to Pingquan and from Kuancheng to Qinglong, and then cut down all the poles on both sides of the highway and cut off all the telephone lines, so that the transportation and communications between the Japanese and the Kosovars were temporarily interrupted and paralyzed.

Of course, the Japanese could not be willing to suffer, so they retaliated furiously, arresting hundreds of people in three times for interrogation and massacre. The first massacre of Kuancheng by the Japanese Kou occurred in October, when the Japanese puppet troops, including the Japanese Kou Pingquan Special High Team, the Kuancheng Japanese Military Police Brigade, the Japanese Zhonghe Garrison, the Lengkou Japanese Kou Gendarmerie Dispatch Team, the Kuancheng Special Agent Squad, the Yu'erya Anruyi Gendarmerie Dispatch Team, the Qinglong Gendarmerie Dispatch Team, the Xifengkou Gendarmerie Dispatch Team, and the Xifengkou Gendarmerie Dispatch Team, commanded by Lieutenant Nagakawa, the leader of the Hiraguchi Japanese Dispatch Team, and the Captain of the Kuancheng Gendarmerie Team, Ono, invaded Xiabancheng, Yaowang Temple, Camel Farm, Shuangdongzi, Dingjiagou, Wangjiadian, and Dazhuanling and Changgou in two ways. More than 300 innocent villagers were arrested in the above-mentioned places and taken to Kuancheng for interrogation, and the pseudo-Chengde High Court sentenced more than 80 of them to death, and the Nakanone garrison shot and killed them at Kuancheng Nanguan. The others, with the exception of some who escaped, were held in Chengde Prison.

The second massacre took place in November, when the puppet army Yu Yousan crusaders arrested 79 villagers in shanjiawanzi, Yuanzitai and other villages, three of whom escaped, 47 of whom were brutally killed at Kuancheng Nanguan, and the remaining 29 were escorted to Anshan to work as laborers.

The third massacre was on November 27, when the Japanese killed more than 30 anti-Japanese cadres. Before the killing, the Japanese had already dug a large ditch fifteen meters long and more than two meters deep at The South Pass of Kuancheng, and they would kill more than 30 people who had been arrested with guns or bayonets, and take the other captured villagers to the killing ground for escort and intimidation. In all three massacres, more than 160 people were killed in Kuancheng.
