A rare copy of the hulk's first comic book was sold for $490,000

According to the Guardian, on January 4, the first edition of the Hulk comic was auctioned for a high price of $490,000. The comic has a history of 60 years. The comic is a rare copy of the first issue of The Incredible Hulk in 1962. At auction site Comic Connect, a private collector bought the comic for $490,000. This set a record for the highest auction of the hulk's first comic book.

The First Issue of The Incredible Hulk

Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kobe, the comic depicts the Hulk's origin story. In the comics, the world-famous physicist is massively irradiated by the radiation of his own Gamma Bomb in an accident, and his body mutates, and later whenever his emotional heart beats faster, he turns into a green monster named Hulk.

Because the transformation is often uncontrolled, in order not to harm the people around him, Banner travels the world looking for ways to control his anger, and even so, Banner's Hulk identity often causes devastating damage to the city, so he is often the target of police and relevant units. The main color of Hulk skin is green. Over the past four decades, Hulk has battled almost every hero and villain in Marvel Comics. But in the first issue of The Incredible Hulk, the Hulk is gray, not its signature green.

Vincent Zurzolo, head of auction site Comic Connect, said that copies of the first issue of Incredible Hulk are very rare, and the value of this copy will continue to rise, and "the value of old comic books will continue to rise." Last September, a copy of Spider-Man's debut in the 1962 comic book Fantastic 15 was sold for $3.6 million.
