Recently, the award ceremony of the 4th Pudong New Area Cartoonist Skills Competition in 2024 was held, and the first comic craftsman of Shanghai's animation industry craftsmen was released on the spot.
The competition is guided by the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, co-sponsored by the District Federation of Trade Unions and Zhangjiang Town, and undertaken by the Zhangjiang Town Federation of Trade Unions, the Municipal Animation Industry Association, and the Municipal Animation Industry (Pudong) Federation of Trade Unions. Among them, the on-site skills competition is divided into three types of work: line painter, color engineer and character designer, simulating the actual work of cartoonists for 8 hours, and the competition requires a comprehensive assessment of creative talents and technical talents.
At the ceremony, the organizers commended the gold, silver, bronze awards and the first, second and third prizes of outstanding teams and outstanding individuals, and awarded the 2024 2024 Cartoonist Level 2, 3 and 4 Professional Qualification Certificates to outstanding cartoonists. At the same time, the 2024 "Shanghai Animation Industry Craftsman" was also released on the spot, and Sun Jiayu, Gan Feng, Gong Yijian, and Guan Ying won the first comic craftsman award. After more than 3 months of preparation, from the establishment of the "Shanghai Animation Industry Craftsman Selection and Cultivation Working Committee" to the recommendation of craftsman candidates, qualification review, joint evaluation, and expert review and defense, 4 comic craftsman candidates were produced and publicized online.
It is understood that this year's competition is a step further than last year. In terms of the organizational process, the scale of the national competition area has been significantly expanded, the number of participating units and individuals has increased, and the influence of the competition has gradually expanded; In terms of the competition process, four tracks were held in two directions: theme creation and skill competition, which not only reflected the characteristics of the animation industry, but also focused on promoting the spirit of craftsmen; In terms of working mechanism, the competition attaches great importance to the organic combination of competition, training, recognition and promotion, and continuously implements the integration of "competition, training, certification and ability".
