NBA official rookie list: Wagner Jr. topped, Mobley overtook Barnes, and the Rockets rose to No. 6

On January 6, Beijing time, the 2021-22 NBA regular season is in full swing. As of today, the new NBA regular season has been running for two and a half months. Earlier today, the NBA officially released the latest edition of the rookie list. Wagner Jr. continued to be no. 1, Mobley overtook Barnes to move up to No. 2, and Gidey, who had a triple-double, continued to be no. 5.

1. Wagner Jr. - Magic (previous ranking: 1)

Wagner Jr. averaged 32.4 minutes per game this season and averaged 15.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.1 steals, shooting 45.1 percent from the field and 37 percent from three-point range. Since the announcement of the last edition of the list, Wagner Jr. has averaged 23.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game, and he currently ranks first among rookies per game.

2. Mobley - Cavaliers (previous ranking: 3)

Mobley has averaged 33.7 minutes per game this season and is averaging 14.7 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 0.8 steals, 1.8 blocks, 50.1 percent from the field and 30.6 percent from three-point range. Since the release of the previous list, Marbury has averaged 20.8 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game, and his average number of rebounds per game is the highest among rookies.

3. Scotty Barnes -- Raptors (previous ranking: 2)

Barnes has averaged 35.7 minutes per game this season and is capable of 15.5 points, 8.1 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.1 steals and 1 block, shooting 49.4% from the field and 34.8% from three-point range. Since the release of the last list, Barnes has averaged 13.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game, and he currently ranks third in rookies in points per game and second in rebounds per game.

4. Cunningham Pistons (previous ranking: 4)

Cunningham averaged 32.5 minutes per game this season and was able to finish with 15.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.3 steals, shooting 38.9% from the field and 31.8% from three-point range. Since the release of the previous edition of the list, Cunningham has averaged 19.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists per game, and he currently ranks second among rookies per game in points per game.

5. Josh Gidey Thunder (previous ranking: 5)

Gildy averaged 30.2 minutes per game this season and was able to finish with 11.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 1 steal, shooting 39 percent from the field. Since the release of the previous edition of the list, Gidy has averaged 17.0 points, 13.0 rebounds and 14.0 assists per game. In the previous Thunder's loss to the Lone Rangers, Gidey had 17 points, 13 rebounds and 14 assists, becoming the youngest player in NBA history to have a triple-double.
