Elon Musk (born June 28, 1971) is a South African-American entrepreneur. He was one of the founders of PayPal, an electronic payment company, and founded SpaceX, a maker of launch vehicles and spacecraft, as well as tesla.

He also founded The Boring Company in 2016 with the aim of revolutionizing travel through advances in tunnelling technology. Perhaps tellingly, he's not the CEO. Musk gives the impression of a trapped man. He's clearly excited about creativity, innovation and engineering — it's the exciting kick-off part of a company. But the shift from startups to big companies has turned the CEO position into a very different role.
In addition to the huge growth, the Tesla boss has also caused all kinds of trouble for Tesla's shareholders. He is currently being sued by shareholders who claim that the acquisition of SolarCity was a waste of Toyota's money, and they say SolarCity is running out of money. During the trading period, Musk held a 22 percent stake in Tesla and SolarCity. In 2018, he tweeted that he was considering spinning Tesla off the stock market and going private, before agreeing to resign as Tesla's chairman. Elon Musk may be the second richest man on the planet, but oddly enough, he feels he doesn't have the freedom to do what he wants.
