Guan Xiaoyan, secretary general of the Beijing Winter Olympics Snow Wax Vehicle Joint Research Project Headquarters and director of the Light Industry and Textile Industry Division of the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong Province, introduced that after Shandong Province received the task of developing the first snow wax car in China by the State General Administration of Sport, it specially set up a joint research command center to mobilize the superior resources of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group, Shandong Industrial Design and Research Institute, Taishan Sports Industry Group, Haier Group, Hisense Group and other advantageous resources, and organized more than 1,000 people to race against the clock to carry out joint research.
The birth of the first domestic snow wax car is the epitome of the new breakthrough in China's winter sports equipment, reflecting the new achievements of China's "intelligent manufacturing". On September 26, 2021, the domestic snow wax car was officially rolled off the production line, and the whole vehicle involved professional technology in the fields of new energy power, photovoltaic power generation, 5G communication, event live broadcast, bionic light source, etc., with the characteristics of green environmental protection, high degree of intelligence, and large body space.
The scientific and convenient design of the snow wax car has been praised by waxers. Waxer Vladimir said: "The countertop suction system on the snow wax truck is very good, and the wax powder raised during the waxing process can be sucked out relatively quickly, avoiding damage to the body." According to reports, the table lighting uses magnetic mobile fill lighting, which can facilitate the waxing artist to check the waxing effect under different angles of light.

The snow wax truck is not only the workshop of the waxer, but also the preparation room and leisure room for athletes to warm up before the game, store the snowboard, rest and recreation. During the snow wax car, the van is 35 square meters, but the body is fully expanded when working, and the area can reach 92.5 square meters. The carriage space is divided into seven functional areas: outdoor warm-up area, snowboard waxing area, snowboard storage area, temporary rest area for work, oxygen-enriched rest and entertainment area, snow wax storage area, and sanitary shower room, and the car is equipped with VR entertainment, biochemical toilet, smart home, training equipment, audio and other equipment, providing a comfortable and convenient environment for athletes and waxers.
This car is not only "convenient", but also "environmentally friendly" and "smart". Liu Peimin, deputy commander of the Beijing Winter Olympics Snow Wax Vehicle Joint Research Project Headquarters and director of commercial vehicle business of Shandong Heavy Industry Group Co., Ltd., said that the snow wax car uses a hydrogen fuel powered traction head, equipped with the largest power hydrogen fuel cell in China, with zero emission and zero pollution; another hybrid traction head enabled under some conditions adopts the internationally leading 50% thermal efficiency engine, which can reduce fuel consumption by 15% under the same working conditions and achieve energy conservation and emission reduction. In addition, the domestic snow wax vehicle is also equipped with a photovoltaic power generation system, which generates 12 degrees of electricity per day in winter, which can meet the needs of vehicle lighting and domestic electricity. At the same time, the specially designed intelligent operating system can monitor the vehicle operating environment and equipment operation status at any time.

Since its delivery on October 27, 2021, the snow wax car has successfully completed the guarantee tasks of the International Snow Federation Cross-country Skiing Points Series Xinjiang Hot Spring Station, Hebei Chongli Station and Shanghai Yangpu Station, with a total driving mileage of more than 10,000 kilometers, withstanding various tests such as long-distance driving, plateau climate, low ice and snow, and strong wind and bad weather.
It is understood that the Chinese snow wax car will be stationed in the Chongli Area of Hebei Province during the Winter Olympics to perform event support tasks and provide services for athletes from home and abroad. "In another ten days, we will go to Chongli, and before the Winter Olympics, we will check and adjust the whole vehicle to ensure that the vehicle serves the national team and athletes in the most perfect state." Changan Zetao, a snow wax car from Shandong Sports Industry Group, said.
