The new concept car is a pure electric coupe SUV that will be equipped with new autonomous driving technology and 40 various sensing elements. At the same time, Sony officially announced that it will establish Sony Motors this spring and commercialize the concept car.
In terms of appearance, the design language of the new car is very similar to the previously announced Sony's first concept car - VISION-S pure electric concept car, and the overall style is very simple. The new car is equipped with a penetrating LED light strip in the upper part of the front, and the headlights on both sides are more slender. The closed grille features an outward projection, polylines similar to vents on both sides of the bumper, and a trapezoidal lower air intake design.
The new car adopts the sneakback design of a coupe-style SUV, the roof line is very smooth, and the roof position is also painted black, which contrasts with the body. From the picture, the lower position of the roof of the new car is very backward, and it is expected that the head space of the rear passengers can be guaranteed. In addition, the new car is equipped with hidden door handles commonly found in electric models and five-spoke low-wind resistance wheels. At the rear, the new car design is equally simple, equipped with through taillights, except for the design of the central concave center of the tail, and the decoration of the black surround at the bottom, there is no other complex element embellishment.
The official shows us the interior of the new car through pictures, and we can see that the new car will be equipped with a joint screen design formed by three screens, and a separate display screen is also equipped in front of the central passage, which is expected to be an air conditioning control area. In addition, the new car will also use a knob-type gear shift mechanism, and the air conditioner outlet also uses a penetrating shape, which is also a simple and stylish design style popular in electric vehicles.
In terms of power, the current east-west parameters of the new car have not yet been announced, but it is expected to be equipped with the same powertrain as the VISION-S concept car, for reference, the VISION-S concept car is equipped with a front and rear dual motors with a maximum power of 400 kilowatts, and the official acceleration time of 0-100km/h is 4.8 seconds.
