It is precisely because of Yunnan's special care for Asian elephants, wild Asian elephants from about 150 in the 1980s to more than 300 today, Asian elephants have been treated like VIPs everywhere they go, and the elephants seem to know that humans will not harm them, so they have become bold, and in just over 40 days, the elephant herds have "caused trouble" in Yuanjiang County and Shiping County 412 times. The people of Yunnan not only show maximum tolerance for it, but also plant elephants' favorite plants in specific areas and build "elephant canteens" deep in the mountains and forests. It not only satisfies the needs of wild elephants to feed their stomachs, but also reduces the harm to humans.
The elephant's return from the north to the south is a test of Yunnan's ecological protection achievements, and Yunnan has handed over an answer sheet that is praised by all parties and praised by the world. This excellent answer sheet is closely related to the "four firsts" and "three innovations" in biodiversity conservation in Yunnan. What is more forward-looking is that Yunnan implements the spirit of the "National Standardization Development Outline" issued by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, and takes the lead in actively exploring the transformation of the application of standards to the whole economy and society.
