Under the severe epidemic situation, behind the "million units" mark for two consecutive years, Weichai has always aimed at the forefront of scientific and technological innovation, maintained high standards and large investment in research and development, and the cumulative investment in research and development in the past three years has reached 10.3 billion yuan. In 2021, the only national fuel cell technology innovation center in China led by Weichai Power settled in Shandong; the National Internal Combustion Engine Product Quality Inspection and Testing Center led by Weichai successfully passed the review; Weichai Revo Heavy Industry released the first independent CVT heavy-duty intelligent tractor in China, filling the domestic technology gap. In terms of major projects for the conversion of new and old kinetic energy, since 2020, Weichai Group has implemented a series of project construction around intelligent manufacturing, high-end power, new energy industry and scientific research capability improvement, with a total investment of 33 billion yuan and the construction of 16 major projects. Up to now, 12 have been completed, and the investment amount is 23 billion yuan. In terms of new formats and new technologies, in 2021, Weichai's hydrogen energy industry has entered the "blossoming and fruiting period", successively carrying out hydrogen energy park, high-speed and port demonstrations, and successfully building a "hydrogen corridor" on the Shandong Peninsula. Among them, the newly developed 162kW high-power hydrogen fuel cell was successfully applied to the snow wax vehicle of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, realizing China's first, the world's advanced and completely domestic.
