The Intel Core i5-12490F processor appeared on the e-commerce platform and Chinese mainland zone special models

At CES 2022, Intel unveiled a range of non-K-series processors, including 11 Core processors, one each from the Pentium and Celeron processors. Among the non-K-series processors, core i5-class products start with only a maximum of 6 Performance Cores based on the Golden Cove architecture, and there will be no Efficient Core based on the Gracemont architecture.

At present, a processor called Core i5-12490F has appeared on the e-commerce platform, which is very similar to the specifications of the Core i5-12500. Through comparison, the difference is that the former has a larger L3 cache, while the latter has the nuclear display of UHD 770, and the Core i5-12490F is a bit like the core i5-12500's nucleated version. The Alder Lake-S has two chips, one consisting of 8 P-Cores and 8 E-Cores, and the other is 6 P-Cores, both of which are configured with 32 sets of EUs. This Core i5-12490F processor should use 8 P-Core and 8 E-Core chips, and then do the relevant shielding on this basis.

At present, on the e-commerce platform, the price of the boxed Core i5-12490F processor is 1599 yuan, which is 100 yuan higher than the Core i5-12400F processor, but 100 yuan lower than the Core i5-12400 processor. The Core i5-12400/F processor has a basic frequency of 2.5 GHz and a turbo frequency of 4.4 GHz, which is inferior to the Core i5-12490F processor in TERMS CPU performance.
