【New Zhiyuan Guide】CES 2022, NVIDIA re-enlarge the move! In addition to the much-anticipated new flagship graphics card 3090Ti, there is the King of Price/Performance 3050, which only sells for $249, and the strongest notebook GPU in history, the 3080Ti. In addition, the Metaverse Omniverse platform is also free to open.
Don't wait, this conference didn't come.
But Nvidia will never fail to live up to your waiting!
Last night, NVIDIA officially announced that the "Meta-Universe" platform Omniverse is open for free, and it is not difficult to be a kitchen with old yellow.
NVIDIA's conference without graphics cards is incomplete!
No, the all-round cost-effective GPU king RTX 3050 is coming, only $249, not only can play AAA games at 60fps, but also supports DLSS.
In addition, the new flagship graphics card of RTX 3090 Ti, RTX 3080 12GB, RTX 3070 Ti 16GB large video memory graphics card, and a new generation of game books will be equipped with RTX 3080 Ti / 3070 Ti notebook graphics cards are all heavy Easter eggs in this conference.
Oh yes, "Ti", which has been arguing endlessly, also has an official pronunciation!
That is--to say "titanium" together, "T· I" can be.
Monster flagship 3090 Ti: "Full Blood Edition" GA102, the price is unknown
Of course, when it comes to Nvidia, the first impression is still "making graphics cards", although since the rise of the mining tide, we have not seen what NVIDIA's original price graphics card looks like for a long time.
However, on the performance alone, NVIDIA said that it can continue to hold, and the new flagship of the 30 series has come!
In Nvidia's words, it's a "monster-grade" GPU: the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti.
While everyone is waiting for the Ampere architecture to take over, NVIDIA seems to think that the performance of the current 8nm GA102 chip has not been completely squeezed out.
From the naming point of view, this new flagship is an upgraded version of the previous flagship card RTX 3090, in fact, the 3090 Ti has the same 24GB GDDR6X video memory as the 3090 in terms of video memory capacity, and the bandwidth is 21GB/s. The RTX 3090 is 19.5Gbps.
Nvidia said the RTX 3090 Ti will also have 40 teraflops of GPU hashrate performance, which is about 11% faster than the RTX 3090 of 36 teraflops. The light tracking power is 78 teraflops, and the AI task hashrate is 320 teraflops.
For more detailed parameters of the RTX 3090 Ti, Nvidia did not mention at the press conference, such as not giving the GPU base frequency and Boost frequency, but overall, the RTX 3090 Ti performance is about 10% stronger than the RTX 3090.
In addition, according to previous rumors, the RTX 3090 Ti will be equipped with a "full blood version" GA102 GPU, and the number of CUDA cores will reach an unprecedented 10,752.
The above figure shows the prediction of the hardware parameters of the 3090 TI by the foreign media before the conference and the comparison with the 3090. It can be seen that from the data that NVIDIA has published (memory specifications, capacity, bus), the prediction in the left column of the table is accurate.
In terms of power consumption and the most critical price, NVIDIA kept a hand and did not announce it at the event, saying only that "more details will be announced later this month."
Foreign media theverge believes that from the official starting price of 3090 of $1499, the official starting price of 3090Ti may be around $2000.
Of course, this official price can be seen, and what the actual price will be, and the "waiting party" has a number in mind for more than a year.
At present, due to the lack of available information, there are no tests on the actual game evaluation performance and power consumption of the 3090 TI.
According to previous forecasts, the 3090 TI single card TDP may be 450w, 100w higher than the 3090, not with a power supply of more than 1000w, sorry for the name of "flagship".
In short, the card is released, as to whether it can be bought and whether it can be afforded, it will be waited for "later this month" to see.
"Little Brother" 3050: 60 frames to play AAA masterpiece
Of course, the flagship card is indeed tall, but after all, not everyone has such high performance requirements, and for ordinary PC users whose game requirements are not so high, NVIDIA will certainly not give up.
This time, NVIDIA released the "little brother" in the 30 series performance graphics card: RTX 3050
According to the previous release habits, it should also be released with the 3050,3050 Ti, but this release seems to break this convention.
The GeForce RTX 3050 bus has a bit width of 128 bits and is powered by 8GB of GDDR6 memory with 224GB/s of memory bandwidth.
The RTX 3050 is equipped with 2560 CUDA cores, 20 RT cores, and 80 Tensor cores. The base core frequency is 1.55GHz and the Boost frequency is 1.8GHz. Thermal design power consumption (TGP) is 130W, and the public design requires only a 4pin to supply power.
These parameter configurations are very similar to the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti previously predicted by the industry.
The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 is priced at $249 and is expected to go on sale on January 27.
Nvidia says that at 1080p resolution, the RTX 3050 can easily run the current AAA gaming masterpiece at 60 frames. However, you may need to make some graphics settings and turn off the light chase effect.
To achieve this, you also need a powerful CPU, Nvidia's game test uses Intel i9 processors.
Still, if you're still using a Pascal-based graphics card like 1060 and have a limited budget, consider upgrading.
Strongest ever! Notebook 3080Ti > desktop Titan
On mobile platforms, Nvidia has also made a big move, announcing more than 160 GPU laptops equipped with the new GeForce RTX 30 series, featuring the new 4th generation Max-Q technology to further improve efficiency, performance and battery life.
Some laptops will be equipped with the new GeForce RTX 3080 Ti notebook GPU, the first time a flagship 80 Ti-class GPU has appeared on a notebook platform.
The notebook platform 3080 Ti comes with 16GB of GDDR6 video memory, which exceeds even the desktop TITAN RTX's starting price of $2499.
The GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Notebook GPU can support 100 frames per second of display at 1440 pixel resolution, starting at $1499.
The laptop brand partners announced by Nvidia include Alien, MSI and Razer, and the game with these two graphics cards will be released on February 1.
Today's AAA game masterpieces put extremely high pressure on both CPU and GPU performance. When running at high voltage, it often causes the CPU and GPU to grab power resources, and this problem may be more prominent in the game book with tight resources.
For AAA stand-alone masterpieces, GPUs tend to face greater pressure than CPUs. Nvidia's fourth-generation Max-Q platform is designed to solve this problem.
Nvidia said that Max-Q can control the cpu of the laptop, controlling the performance, power and temperature of the CPU as needed, thus freeing up more resource space for the GPU and providing a better gaming experience.
It's actually a "CPU performance optimization tool," but for now, Nvidia hasn't announced specific performance improvements for max-Q.
Omniverse is free!
At last November's GTC conference, NVIDIA released the paid Omniverse Enterprise Edition.
Today, the Engineer's Metaverse Omniverse will be free for artists and creators!
Download address: nvidia.com/omniverse
Nvidia said omniverse, which invested hundreds of millions of dollars, is the culmination of more than 20 years of pioneering work that brings graphics, artificial intelligence, simulation and scalable computing into a single platform to enhance existing 3D workflows.
With Omniverse, GeForce RTX Studio creators can connect their favorite 3D design tools to a scene and create and edit across apps at the same time.
Since launching its public beta a year ago, Omniverse has been downloaded by nearly 100,000 creators who have accelerated their workflows with its core rendering, physics, and artificial intelligence technologies.
Zhelong Xu, a digital artist in Shanghai, said: "With Omniverse, content creators get more than just a fast renderer, but a powerful platform with endless possibilities."
Nvidia defines the metacosm as an immersive, interconnected, shared virtual world.
In these boundless worlds, artists can create unique digital scenes, architects can create beautiful buildings, and engineers can design new products for families.
Omniverse connects these separate 3D design worlds into a shared virtual scene.
In addition, in this special presentation at CES, Nvidia also announced the development of new platforms for Omniverse Machinima and Omniverse Audio2Face, new platform features such as Nucleus Cloud and 3D Marketplace, and ecosystem updates.
Omniverse new features
Omniverse Nucleus Cloud
Artists can achieve "one-click collaboration" of large Omniverse 3D scenes through the cloud, without having to transfer large data sets. It's like working on a file shared in the cloud, but this time it's a 3D scenario.
A better Omniverse ecosystem
Creators will get more support in Omniverse's ecosystem and will also be able to more easily build the scenes they need.
Shutterstock, CGTrader, Sketchfab and Twinbru's TurboSquid have released thousands of profiles for creators. These materials are based on the Generic Scenario Description (USD) format and can be found directly in the Omniverse launcher.
After that, Reallusion's ActorCore, Daz3D, and e-on software's PlantCatalog will also soon release their own Omniverse-ready profiles.
Omniverse Machinima
For RTX creators who love games, characters, objects, and environments from Mechwarrior, Shadow Warrior 3, and Mount & Blade 2 are all free to use.
Creators can remix and create their own game movies with these assets by dragging and dropping them into their scenes.
Omniverse Audio2Face
Audio2Face is a revolutionary AI application that instantly animates 3D faces with just one audio track.
Now, support for "blendshape" has been added, as well as a MetaHuman Creator app that can be exported directly to Epic.
This leaves the tedious intermediate process to AI, and artists and creators can spend more time on jobs that require creativity.
Canvas upgrades: new AI+ resolution X4
The original Canvas used GauGAN, a generative adversarial network of 5 million landscape photographs.
Simply select a variety of textured brushes, including hills, water, mountains or sand, and then the brushes "draw" loosely. The AI then takes over and renders these markers into realistic landscapes in real time.
However, if you look closely, the effect is still too fake.
This time, Canvas will usher in a big wave of upgrades: the resolution is increased by 4 times, and the resulting images are more realistic, sharper and less artifacts.
In fact, it is to replace ai with Gaugan 2.
On the basis of the first generation, GauGAN2 has been trained in more than 10 million pictures and has been able to translate natural language into landscape images very well.
Without further ado, let's see the effect first.
In addition, Nvidia added five new materials to Canvas to create a richer landscape: straw, flowers, dirt, dirt blocks and bushes.
These new materials can be further customized through nine preset styles. Of course, artists can also choose to upload their own images to create unique landscapes.
With Nvidia's Canvas, everyone can become an artist!
