Dongfeng high-end new energy off-road vehicle project settled in Wuhan Economic Development Zone

Hubei Daily News (reporter Xie Huimin, correspondent Zheng Qiyue) learned from the Wuhan Economic Development Zone on December 22 that Dongfeng Company has signed an agreement with the Wuhan Economic Development Zone, and the Dongfeng high-end new energy off-road vehicle project has officially settled in China Chegu.

It is understood that the Dongfeng high-end new energy off-road vehicle project is an important part of Dongfeng Company's "Oriental Wind Up" plan and "science and technology leapfrog" action, and will work with Lantu Automobile to promote Dongfeng's independent passenger car business to the high-end on the track of new energy and intelligent networking.

According to the agreement, the project will build an advanced intelligent manufacturing center, an off-road base, a headquarters office and a commercial exhibition center in China Chegu. The relevant person in charge of the Wuhan Economic Development Zone said that this has added a new engine to the "secondary entrepreneurship" of the Economic Development Zone, which means that China Chegu will become the research and development, production and operation center of Dongfeng's high-end new energy off-road vehicle project.

Wuhan Economic Development Zone is the headquarters of Dongfeng Company, as well as an important production base and R&D base of Dongfeng Company, and in recent years, it has continued to increase the layout of new businesses such as new energy vehicles and automatic driving. In addition to launching the Dongfeng high-end new energy off-road vehicle project, during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Dongfeng will also invest 100 billion yuan in research and development to promote the "scientific and technological leap" action with new energy and intelligent networking as the two major paths, and achieve the "three million" goals of annual production and sales of 1 million new energy vehicles, commercial vehicle production and sales of 1 million vehicles, and independent passenger car business spanning 1 million vehicles.
