This is a famous Ming Dynasty scholar and poet Yang Ying's inscription Tianxinyan poem. Tianxin Weir is one of the 24 ancient scenery of Taifu Mountain, which is a beautiful landscape given to us by the miraculous work of nature. There are five Tianxin Weirs in Taifu Mountain, all located on peaks above 550 meters above sea level, and there are many beautiful legends about its formation.
The Jade Emperor gave water and said. In ancient times, because there were no water conservancy facilities here, the rain and water soared, the rain flowed through the water, and there was a serious shortage of water all year round, and the people's lives were miserable. When the Jade Emperor found out, he sent The Lightning Mother to do it, Lei Gong Shi Wei, and used their unique mana to blast out five weirs on the top of the five peaks of the Taifu Mountain. Since then, the weir has been filled with water in the spring, the water flows to the lower places, and the spring water babbles all year round to nourish the local mountain people.
Qin Shi Huang said with a whip. In the second century BC, Qin Shi Huang built the Great Wall and requisitioned all the laborers in the country to serve hard labor, at that time there was no means of transport, all by hand to carry shoulders, the servants were like cattle, and many people died of exhaustion on the construction site every day. In order to save the people from water and fire, Guanyin Bodhisattva gave each servant a red silk thread. When the emperor learned of this, he collected the silk threads and made them into a whip to drive the mountain. One night, he used the mountain whip to rush to a big mountain from the southwest, and placed it on the west bank of Dongting Lake to rest for a while, not wanting to oversleep, the sky was already bright. Qin Shi Huang panicked and swung his whip at the mountain for 99 times in a row, but the mountain did not move. At this time, he was very upset, and used his whip to carry it five times in a row on the top of the five hills, leaving five large pits, and then flew away. This mountain was later called Taifu Mountain, and the 99 canyons on the mountain were whip marks left by Qin Shi Huang. The pits on the top of the five hills with whips are the Tianxin Weir.
The legends of the above two articles, although somewhat illusory, leave unlimited reverie space for future generations, which is intriguing.
"A knife according to the lotus leaf" is not a legend, it is a mysterious story deduced by the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom in Tianxinyan during the Qing Xianfeng period.
In the middle of the 18th century, due to the corruption and incompetence of the Qing government, internal and external troubles, the people did not have a good life. The broad masses of the people were filled with indignation and raised the banner of anti-Qing. On November 11, 1851, Hong Xiuquan held an uprising in Jintian Village, Guiping County, Guangxi, calling the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom. The righteous banner was held high, the four sides responded, and the Taiping Army swept the whole country with the momentum of destruction and decay. In March 1853, Hong Xiuquan ordered a western expedition, and the Fei general Zeng Tianyang, who was then the Qiu official and zheng xiang, asked Miao to take command and led his troops to conquer Anqing and Jiujiang with the momentum of breaking bamboo. Later, through northern Anhui, he conquered Luzhou in January 1854 and immediately marched into Hubei. In Hubei, he beheaded Wu Wenrong, the governor of Qinghuguang, and then took advantage of the victory to occupy Hanyang and Hankou and conquer Wuchang. In April 1854, he entered Liankeyue Prefecture and Changde in Hunan.
After Zeng Tianyang conquered Changde, he originally wanted to expand the results of the battle in the Changheng area, and one day two unkempt-faced prime-aged men from Anfu County, Lizhou, came to see General Zeng, saying that it was in the Taifu Mountain area, and since the Kangxi Dynasty, there were hundreds of Qing soldiers stationed in the Tartars to guard the Jingchu fortress taifu Mountain. During the Kangxi and Qianlong periods, these Tartar soldiers still did a lot of good things for the local people, but from the Daoguang years onwards, these soldiers became a major tumor in the local area, not only did they not do things for the people, but they also ran rampant in the townships with the local government, plundering property, killing people like melons, raping women, doing all kinds of evil, and making the chickens and dogs in this area restless. The locals also organized several raids to drive the Tartars, but they were suppressed by the Qing soldiers. Recently, I heard that General Zeng Tianyang had come to Changde for Tianxingdao, and I thought that the people's hard days were about to come out. I did not want to come from the west the day before about a thousand More Qing soldiers, saying that they wanted to work with the original Tartar Qing soldiers to establish a strong defensive line at Taifu Mountain in an attempt to cut off the connection between General Changde and the Hubei rebels, and then surround and annihilate the rebels in Changde. At this time, the people were anxious, and if the Qing army succeeded, the people's suffering did not know what year and month they would have to endure. Therefore, the townspeople, together, sent them to Changde to ask General Zeng to eliminate the Qing soldiers while they were still on their feet.
Zeng Tian was rewarded, so he led the main force out of the west gate of Changde City and rushed all the way to the Taifu Mountain area, and the two sides launched a bloody battle in the taifu mountain and the can tip area in the southwest of the Taifu Mountain. Relying on the fortifications built here for the first two days, the Qing soldiers were condescending and stubbornly resisted, so that Zeng Tianyang did not attack for two days and two nights. On the night of the third day, under the leadership of local villagers, a part of the rebel army touched the main position of the Qing soldiers from the back mountain, and Zeng Tianyang stormed into the Qing soldiers' garrison from the front, killing the Qing soldiers, crying wolf, and the corpses were all over the field and the blood flowed like a river. A year later, the imperial court sent people to collect the remains of the bones of these Qing soldiers and bury them in the Jinjibao Valley, which has since been known as the Dead Man's Ditch.
Just after the end of the war, the rebels were about to clean up the battlefield, and some villagers came to report that the hundred or so old Tartar soldiers who had been stationed in this area fled in the direction of Changmaoling. Zeng Tianyang left a part of the rebel army to clean up the battlefield, and he led his troops to pursue them at night, and when they reached the Tianxin Weir behind the first peak, the hundred and ten people disappeared, so they ordered their subordinates to block the road junctions of each downhill. After dawn, annihilate.

When he was at a loss for words, he only listened to "Take a knife to the lotus leaf!" Take a knife to the lotus leaf! A few crisp birds sounded, and Zeng Tianyang suddenly returned to his senses, seeing that the Weir in the heart of that day was full of lotus leaves, lush and green, swaying with the wind. So the soldiers jumped into the weir, swung their large knives, and stabbed each lotus leaf, only to hear "Click! A person's head flew up with the lotus leaf, and the clear water of the pond of Tianxinyan suddenly turned into red Yin Yin's blood water.
Taifu Mountain is the kingdom of birds, and when you are in this vast forest, you will be enchanted by the symphony played by birds such as "Guiyang", "Machete Starling", "I didn't sleep yesterday" and so on. Today, although the spirit bird is missing, the ancient proverb of "evil has evil retribution" confirmed by its "a knife according to the lotus leaf" has left people with endless memories.
