QuestHaven is coming soon to play tabletop games in VR

QuestHaven is an upcoming desktop emulator designed to give VR and PC users all the tools they need to play tabletop games.

According to the team behind the project, QuestHaven plays most of the role-playing tabletop games, such as D&D, Pathfinder, or Shadowrun, by letting users build environments and import game rules.

QuestHaven is known to be primarily used in Quest 2, PC VR, and standard PC monitors, the latter of which is primarily used to run events, while player characters in VR either control pieces and dice like standard table games or jump into a more immersive 1:1 view of things.

Developer NotNoxDev said QuestHaven is more of a platform than a game because it doesn't have any established rules that are imported by users so they can play any game. Still, the team says they ultimately want to add user-generated items through the Marketplace so that module creators can sell modules, similar to steam Marketplace.

The creators of QuestHaven hope to fund development through the Kickstarter campaign, which is scheduled to launch in Q1 2022.
