This platoon leader who was promoted to the 5th level was called Wang Shicai, his fame in our army was not very big, and even many people had not heard of him, Wang Shicai was a native of Jinzhai County, Anhui Province, born in a poor peasant family, from snacks to all kinds of hardships, well aware of the suffering of the poor
In May 1929, the 18-year-old Wang Shicai joined the guerrilla group in his hometown, joined the party the following year, and in 1931, Wang Shicai's guerrilla group was incorporated into the 12th Division of the 4th Army of the Red Fourth Front, and because of his bravery in battle, Wang Shicai was transferred to the Red 27th Division as a squad leader.
In October 1932, with the change of the situation, the Red Fourth Front withdrew from the Eyu-Anhui Soviet Region, and the large army was transferred to the Sichuan-Shaanxi region, while Wang Shicai's unit was left in the northeast of Hubei and southeastern Henan to insist on guerrilla warfare, and in November of the same year, it was incorporated into the Red 25th Army.
Although he experienced many battles and reorganizations, Wang Shicai was still only a squad leader of the 223rd Regiment of the Red 75th Division, and later the Red 25th Army was severely damaged by the enemy army when it moved to northeast Hubei, and General Xu Haidong led his troops back to northwest Anhui to join the Red 82nd Division to rebuild the Red 28th Army, and Wang Shicai was among them.
In 1934, the Red 25th Army and the Red 28th Army met, the unit was merged into the Red 25th Army, the red 28th Army was abolished, at that time Wang Shicai had 5 years of military experience, called experienced in hundreds of battles, the unit urgently needed a group of grass-roots officers with combat experience, Wang Shicai was promoted to deputy platoon commander of the 74th Division.
In November of the same year, due to the failure of the fifth anti-"encirclement and suppression" operation, the Red 25th Army began to carry out the Long March, wang Shicai was appointed as the traffic platoon leader of the 223rd regiment, it has to be said that the Red Army is full of talents, Wang Shicai participated in the Red Army for 5 years, in order to become a platoon leader.
On December 8, 1934, the 25th Army of the Red Army entered the Shangluo area of Shaanxi and decided to create the Eyu-Shaanxi base area, so many company and platoon-level cadres were sent to the local area to carry out work.
In February 1935, the 3rd Guerrilla Division of Eshan was announced at Hongyan Temple, and Wang Shicai was appointed division commander.
After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, in September 1937, Wang Shicai entered the Kang Da to study, and after graduation, he served as the commander of the 3rd Battalion of the 4th Garrison Regiment of the Northwest Left Guard Corps.
In June 1946, Wang Shicai was transferred to the 45th Regiment of the 15th Brigade of the 2nd Column of the Central Plains Army, and in the battle of the breakthrough of the North Zhongyuan Road, Wang Shicai led his troops to serve as a blockade task to cover the retreat of the main force, and on July 19, Wang Shicai led the 45th Regiment to occupy the highlands of the qianpoling ridge of Zhao Chuan and launched a blockade.
He faced 6 times the enemy army, Wang Shicai was not afraid, fought fiercely with it for 19 hours, repelled 17 enemy attacks, successfully covered the retreat of the main force and organs, unfortunately Wang Shicai died in the final battle, at the age of 35.
