Beijing's Chaoyang District launched the first Winter Olympics City Volunteer Service Station

On January 3, 2022, on the 30-day countdown to the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, Chaoyang District launched the first Winter Olympics city volunteer service station, the Sanlitun site. Figure skating world champions Pang Qing, Tong Jian and 3 young volunteers from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan took up their posts at the Sanlitun Volunteer Service Site as the "first batch of first day" Winter Olympic City Volunteers in Chaoyang District, and took the lead in shouting the slogan of "Double Olympic Chaoyang Together for the Future" at the Sanlitun Site!

The volunteer service team of the site is mainly composed of Olympic athletes, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan youth, and social youth volunteers, in addition to the regular route guidance, emergency relief and other services, it also provides the popularization of winter Olympic knowledge, focusing on the sharing of figure skating pair skating projects.

At the same time, in order to inherit the spirit of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, Chaoyang District followed the characteristic creativity of the 2008 opening ceremony athletes' entry scroll, and called on the general public to participate in the writing of the 2022 meter long scroll at the site to express their blessings and expectations for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics (the long scroll is divided into 100 paragraphs, each section is 20.22 meters long).

At present, chaoyang district has established a reserve pool of more than 7,000 volunteers in accordance with the overall work requirements of the Winter Olympic Games, through the recruitment of public welfare volunteer service teams and the targeted invitation of enterprises and universities in the district. Next, a large number of urban volunteers will be organized to take up their posts in mid-January 2022, and the service period will continue until the closing ceremony of the Winter Paralympic Games.
