Qin Shi Huang was the founding emperor of the Qin Dynasty, the first unified dynasty in China, and he believed that his merits were better than the "Three Emperors and Five Emperors", so he was also the first monarch in history to use the title of "Emperor" and called himself the "First Emperor". Although Qin Shi Huang was a cruel and violent king in the eyes of later scholars, he still made many moves during his reign. In addition to implementing the policy of unifying the currency in the economy, Qin Shi Huang also made great efforts in the construction of transportation fortresses.
From 222 BC onwards, Qin Shi Huang began to build a large number of chi roads that extended in all directions, which is now called a highway, with Xianyang as the center. The construction of the chi road can facilitate the qin shi huang to manage the six lands of the old country, and it is also convenient for the Qin dynasty to replenish the war on the northern front. In addition, as the first emperor in history, Qin Shi Huang naturally had to tour the world, and in order to be unimpeded along the way, he built a chi road.
QinzhiDao is one of the ChiDao roads built during the Qin Shi Huang period, which runs through Gansu, Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Regions in China, and is the most complete transportation artery preserved so far. The Qin Straight Road was founded in 212 BC and was used until the Qing Dynasty because of its excellent road conditions and practicality. The Qin Straight Road is more than 700 kilometers long and was built for the supervision of the general Meng Tian, but due to the complex terrain along the way, many mountains and mountains are high, and many laborers are buried in it. Historically, there is no specific time for the completion of the Qin Straight Road, only that the construction continued during Qin II.
In order to determine the direction and end of the QinzhiDao, the historical geographer Shi Nianhai, after consulting historical materials and field investigations, published an article on the Qinzhidao in 1975, in which he declared that the Qinzhidao finally entered the Ordos grassland, but the specific end point is still unknown. Therefore, in 1979, through continuous investigation, the archaeological expert team once again determined that the southern section of the Qinzhi Road started from the ruins of Ganquan Palace in the Han Dynasty and ended at the ancient city of Machi near Baotou City in the north.
In 2006, archaeologists again conducted a more detailed investigation and study of qinzhidao. After investigation, there are not only excellent drainage systems on both sides of the Qinzhi Road, but also a large number of building sites have been excavated on both sides of the road. What puzzled the archaeologists was why there was not a single weed on the main road of the Qin ZhiDao, which had been abandoned for 2200 years, which was really laborious. After the soil quality analysis of Qinzhidao, it was finally determined that the soil of Qinzhidao was fried by fire, and it was impossible to grow weeds on the "ripe soil" without any nutrients.
The wisdom of the ancients was indeed infinite, and in order to protect the road from being destroyed by weeds, they came up with such a method. Moreover, the supervision of workers during the Qin Dynasty was very strict, and no worker dared to cut corners. At the same time as they paid hard work and sweat, Qin Zhidao was also completely preserved for 2200 years, which can also be said to be a kind of luck in misfortune.
