In the last battle of the Battle of Songhu in 1937, the "Eight Hundred Heroes" were ordered to hold the Shanghai Sixing Warehouse and stubbornly resist for four days and four nights with fewer enemies and more. Directed by Guan Hu, the film "Eight Hundred" is the first commercial film in Asia to be shot entirely on IMAX cameras, and will be released in theaters nationwide on August 21, 2020.
The film is based on the Battle of Songhu in 1937, and tells the story of a reinforced battalion of the 524th Regiment of the 88th Division of the Third Theater of the Chinese National Revolutionary Army, known as the "Eight Hundred Heroes", holding the Sihang Warehouse on the banks of the Suzhou River and blocking the Japanese army.
