Beijing, January 1, 2022 More than 300 poets, chanting across eight time zones, from 10:00 a.m. Beijing time on December 31, 2021 to 10:00 a.m. on January 1, 2022, creating a "24-hour salt and iron poetry" to welcome the New Year.

The event, named "Salt and Iron Poetry 24h - Javelin 2022", was hosted by the X-LAB Laboratory of Tsinghua University, the DLAB Digital Commodity Standards Laboratory, etc., and hosted by the Organizing Committee of the Beijing Poetry Festival, and the event was broadcast live for 24 hours.

Dong Haiping, chief planner of Yantie Poetry 24 Hours, introduced that among the more than 300 participants of the "Poetry 24 Hours", the representatives of the three generations of Chinese poetry circles of the old, middle and young generations gathered together. For the first time, poets from different fields such as academia and folk interacted online, and 12 hosts led poets from all over the world and overseas to celebrate the New Year with everyone.

Among the more than 300 participants of the "Poetry 24 Hours", there are Mongk, a representative figure of Chinese obscure poetry, well-known poets such as Zhang Dinghao and Li Shaojun, popular poets such as Yu Xiuhua and Yang Biwei, and popular folk singers such as Yan Zehuan and Zhang Dangdang.

Curator Eucalyptus said, "A poem is a metacosm — it's an independent universe, an irreplaceable universe, but it's not an isolated universe." Everyone's life world is not the same, and everyone's joys and sorrows are not the same. But a poem can string together all of us, because we are human beings. The voices of the expecting poets "present their emotions and thoughts, present their warmth and texture, and this is exactly what they want to convey to everyone", "hit the common emotions of the 'post-epidemic' era".

It is reported that the "Salt and Iron Poetry 24 Hours # Javelin 2022" campaign will also use blockchain voting to select the poet of the year 2021, the voting will be open at 10:00 on December 31, 2021, and the voting will be until 10:00 on January 5, 2022, and the organizing committee will award the 2021 Poet Award according to the poet with the most votes.
