Baotong Street Expressway is the first expressway project in Weifang City, from the project bidding to the final opening, less than a year, truly created the "Weifang speed" of Weifang urban road construction, which is inseparable from the scientific scheduling of the project headquarters, careful deployment, and the optimization process of the construction enterprises.

In order to speed up the construction speed, the construction party has made full efforts in the construction sequence, and optimized the process through multi-node parallel construction and multi-work surface parallel promotion to achieve the highest construction cost performance.

In the construction process of the Changda bid section, the model section is implemented before the official start of each sub-project, the experience is summarized to avoid stepping on the pit, and the construction progress is accelerated under the premise of ensuring quality. For example, the project department has poured two pier column test columns to provide practical experience for the large-scale construction of the pier column in the later stage, and the pre-compression of the bracket is carried out after the completion of the first cover beam bracket to form the construction standard of the pile backfill and the bracket erection, so as to accelerate the construction progress.

Most of the second bid project is located in the old city, the underground rainwater and sewage pipe network is outdated, which does not match the bridge design and high-quality urban construction, and needs to be transformed in an all-round way, which conflicts with the construction of the bridge. In order to save time, the project department of Luqiao Group prepared in advance, and as soon as it entered the site, it began to arrange, and the underground transformation and above-ground construction were carried out synchronously and cross-promoted, abandoning the process of building the bridge first and then transforming the pipeline at normal speed, which greatly accelerated the progress of the project.

The flood season of the river is also an important factor hindering the progress of the project, and the flood season in Weifang from late July to August is the flood season, during which the urban rivers have to release water and discharge, making the already insufficient construction period more tense. In order to survive the flood safely, the workers had to work overtime to rush the construction period and dig up all the soil filled under the Bailanghe Bridge before the flood season.

After the soil used to support the bridge is dug up, there is no strong support when the cover beam is installed above the bridge, in this case, if the construction period is not rushed, the construction party usually waits for the end of the flood season, refills the dug up place, and then installs the cover beam. But the reality is that there is simply no such long waiting time. In order to start construction quickly, the construction party invited experts to demonstrate and study, and decided to use a steel quilt frame to make a layer of steel support on the lower column of the installation cover beam to support the installation of the cover beam. With strong support, the 5 cover beams on the Bailanghe Bridge were hoisted synchronously, which greatly saved time.

Increasing the supply of materials and improving the selection standards are also the usual methods for speeding up and increasing efficiency in the entire expressway construction process.

After deciding to use the gantry crane on the Yuhe Bridge, the construction party of the first bidding section immediately organized the laying of the track, in order to lay the track as soon as possible, they replaced the c30 concrete used to make the track foundation with the c50 concrete with a higher price and a shorter solidification time, and reached the required solidification strength in the shortest time to ensure that the gantry crane entered the field as soon as possible.

When the construction party of the second bid section first entered the site, it was particularly well prepared, and a prefabricated field was built at the south end of Qingnian Road, which was built while producing, and there was no problem according to the initial construction period. However, after the shortening of the construction period, the construction progress is accelerated accordingly, and the production capacity of a prefabricated field can no longer meet the construction demand, and the construction party actively dispatches to find two building materials prefabricated yards from other places to produce at the same time to ensure supply.

In the Changda construction section, the workers used a lot of new materials and new processes, such as the use of a more convenient and fast disassembly of the disc buckle scaffolding, the use of rotary drilling rig with good hole quality and fast hole forming speed to drill into piles, the use of good molding quality, easy flow of construction of stereotyped steel formwork, etc., simplifying the process, speeding up and improving efficiency.
