Tesla found an interesting way to bypass NHTSA's ban on playing games

It has previously been reported that Tesla is under pressure from NHTSA to block the operation of Passport Play on Tesla's electric car, a feature that allows passengers to play games on Tesla's infotainment screen while the car is in motion. Before banning, players can use the feature simply by pressing a "I am a passenger" button, which is obviously unsafe.

We know Tesla will disable the feature entirely in an update, but Tesla, which seems accustomed to head-on attacks, has found a way to bypass the restrictions.

The famous Tesla hacker Green found that to enable the feature, users now only need to adjust the passenger seat to verify that they are indeed passengers, and this solution is quite good, because it is really difficult for drivers to access the seat control on the passenger side during driving.

Hopefully, NHTSA will be happy with this, but historically, the agency has not been so easy to fool people.
