On the morning of December 30th, the outdoor cold wind was bitter, but it was warm and harmonious in the business hall of Unicom Golden City Road in Changning District, and the opening ceremony of the "Love Relay Station" of China Unicom Shanghai Branch for Caring Sanitation Workers was held here. Since this day, 77 Unicom business halls have officially joined the ranks of the city's "love relay station" for sanitation workers.

At present, the city is further creating a good social atmosphere of "caring for sanitation workers and building clean homes", and advocating that the whole society give more respect, understanding, care and support to sanitation workers and sanitation undertakings. Shanghai Unicom is also actively taking action, 77 "love relay stations" will provide sanitation workers with water dispensers, refrigerators, microwave ovens, mobile phone charging, free Wi-Fi and other facilities and services, so that everyone can come in to "drink water, recharge, rest feet, warm hands".

"Thanks to the social love unit for opening up so many 'love relay stations' for us, whenever I walk into the love relay station between labor, I can always feel the feeling of home." A kind greeting, a kind smile and a thoughtful service made me forget the fatigue of work. Drinking hot food, sheltering from the wind and rain, resting and charging in the love relay station have solved many problems in our work and life. Lin Wei, a representative of sanitation workers in Changning District who won the title of "Top Ten Urban Beauticians" in 2017, said with a smile at the unveiling ceremony.

It is understood that more than 53,000 front-line sanitation workers in Shanghai need to clean up more than 20,000 tons of domestic garbage every day, and the cleaning area reaches 187 million square meters. They fought in severe cold in winter and scorched heat in summer, making great contributions to creating a clean, civilized and orderly urban environment.

At the unveiling ceremony, Xiao Longgen, chairman of the Shanghai Greening City Appearance Industry Trade Union, said: "Mobilizing social forces to create a love relay station for sanitation workers not only solves practical difficulties for some sanitation workers, allows more sanitation workers to feel the warmth of society and the temperature of the city, but also builds a platform for social enterprises to support the cause of sanitation, care for sanitation workers, and achieve the co-construction, co-governance and sharing of a beautiful environment." ”

Prior to this, Shanghai Unicom's 77 business halls have been an important member of more than a thousand "outdoor staff love relay stations" led by the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions and the Municipal Greening and City Appearance Administration, in the past four years, providing outdoor workers with daily rest, meal heating, charging and other services, sending them warmth, won a good review, of which, Shanghai Unicom Jing'an Temple Business Hall outdoor staff love relay station also won the title of "the most beautiful trade union outdoor worker service site" in 2021.
