Interface News learned from the Beijing-Hong Kong Metro that on December 30, the subway convenience store on Line 14 of the Beijing Metro officially started operation at Guangying Station.

For a long time, the Beijing subway did not allow commercial opening inside the station. Since the beginning of this summer, this restriction has gradually been relaxed, and convenience stores have appeared in various subway stations.

On July 25, the first three Beijing Subway convenience stores were officially opened, located at Caishikou Station of Line 7, HepingJie Beili Station of Line 2 and Qingnian Road Station of Line 6.

The convenience store operated by Guangying Station is the first convenience store under the jurisdiction of the Beijing-Hong Kong Metro, jointly built by the Beijing-Hong Kong Metro and Jingdong Group, and is a "smart" subway convenience store integrating online and offline. Passengers can place orders through the WeChat Mini Program when riding, and enter the subway convenience store to pick up the goods directly after arriving at the station.

The subway convenience store is set up near Exit B in the northeast direction of the station hall, and the business hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 22:00 p.m., basically covering the main time periods of subway operation. Similar to the convenience stores on the market, the store has set up a number of areas such as leisure food and beverage areas, daily light food areas, and daily department stores, as well as commercial services such as graphic printing, maintenance and installation.

At present, more than 130 convenience stores, bookstores, pharmacies, florists and other multi-format specialty shops have been opened at many stations of the Beijing subway, including Jingdong, Beijing Light, Lawson, Duodian and other brands. The Beijing subway, known as a desert of convenience stores, is gradually "blossoming".

The Beijing-Hong Kong Metro said that in the future, it will also cooperate with Jingdong Group to open subway convenience stores in some stations under the jurisdiction of the Beijing-Hong Kong Metro.

In addition, the future subway is also expected to become a logistics and transportation channel. Beijing-Hong Kong Metro said that Zhenghe Jingdong Group is studying the feasibility of using the subway's spare time transportation capacity for logistics and transportation to improve the resource utilization rate of rail transit.
