E-Car News recently learned that the new round of tail number restrictions in Beijing will be rotated from January 3, 2022, and the tail number restriction time will be from January 3, 2022 to April 3, 2022. From Monday to Friday, the tail numbers of motor vehicles are: 4 and 9, 5 and 0, 1 and 6, 2 and 7, 3 and 8, and the tail number is managed by 0 for English letters. It is worth mentioning that January 3 is the New Year's Day holiday without restrictions, and on January 4 (Tuesday), the first day of work is limited to tail numbers 5 and 0.

The following vehicles are not subject to tail number restrictions:
1. Police cars, fire trucks, ambulances, engineering ambulances;
2. Public electric vehicles, interprovincial long-distance passenger vehicles and large buses, Beijing B section number plate taxis (excluding rental vehicles), postal special vehicles, vehicles holding tourist bus operation certificates issued by the municipal transportation administrative department, unit shuttle buses and school buses approved by the municipal public security traffic management department;
3. Administrative law enforcement vehicles and special wrecker vehicles with uniform markings on the body and performing official duties;
4. Special operation vehicles for sanitation, gardening, road maintenance, emergency communication support, funeral vehicles for funeral homes;
5. Vehicles with the number plate of "envoy" and vehicles that have been approved for temporary entry;
6. Pure electric passenger car (passenger car driven by electric motor with rechargeable battery as the only power source).
