During the Tang Dynasty, there was an official named Zhang Jiuling, zi shou, a museum, a native of Qujiang, Shaozhou (present-day Shaoguan, Guangdong). He was a famous figure, politician, writer and poet of the Tang Dynasty. His great-grandfather Zhang Junzheng served as a driver in Shaozhou; his grandfather Zhang Ziqian served as a military officer in Dou Prefecture (窦州, in present-day Xinyi County, Guangdong); and his father, Zhang Hongyu, served as a retainer in Solu County, Xinzhou (in present-day southern Xinxing County, Guangdong).
Zhang Jiuling was intelligent and agile when he was young, and was good at writing articles. At the age of 9, he knew that he belonged to the text, and at the age of 13, he could write good articles, and when he used letters to ask Wang Fangqing of the Guangzhou Assassin History, Wang Fangqing admired him very much, saying: "This person must be able to make a difference." Wang Fangqing's admiration had a positive effect on encouraging him to set lofty ambitions.
Zhang Jiuling was one of the sages of the Kaiyuan period and the only chancellor of the Tang Dynasty who was born from Lingnan Scholars. He was honest and gentle, and his style was very neat, and he was known as "Qujiang demeanor". Even after the resignation, if someone recommended talents to Xuanzong, Xuanzong asked, "Is his demeanor as good as the ninth age?" "In the last years of the New Century, Emperor Xuanzong was tired of managing the government, gradually indulging in pleasure and alienating the sages. Under the sinister political situation of the villain, Zhang Jiuling was able to keep the right and jealous, and spoke out out, becoming the last Tang court minister who was loyal to the country and played a pivotal role before the Anshi Rebellion. He had strongly refused Wu Huifei's bribes and smashed her plot to endanger the crown prince; he had also opposed the appointment of the adulterous Li Linfu and the cowardly Niu Xianke as his prime minister, so much so that he had repeatedly rebelled against Xuanzong's wishes and finally resigned. He had a far-sighted vision, and once said that An Lushan "looked the opposite, and if he did not kill, he would be a trouble", but it was not adopted by Xuanzong. Later, when An Shi was in turmoil, when Emperor Xuanzong entered Shu in a hurry, he remembered the words of Jiu Ling's peaceful life, and after weeping bitterly, he only sent envoys to pay tribute to the deceased.

His "Feelings", "Looking at the Moon and Huaiyuan" and other poems that have been passed down through the ages. There are twenty volumes of the Qujiang Collection. Zhang Jiuling's poems in the early years were clear and beautiful, and their emotions were deep and gentle, which was appreciated by Zhang Shu, the predecessor of the poetry world.
