After the official award ceremony of LCK on December 29, the Korean media Kookmin Daily conducted an exclusive interview with DK Zhongdan ShowMaker, and ShowMaker said that DK proposed the best contract conditions during the transfer period and also had feelings for the team.

Q: How did you make your first appearance in the media after the World Championships?

ShowMaker: This is the first time I've been in the free agent market since I debuted, and I found that I had to answer the phone all the time. Ha ha. I was not able to rest easily until I signed a contract with DK. I would sleep less during the season, so I slept a lot during breaks. Recently played training matches, preparing for the new season.

Q: I would like to ask you directly why you chose to stay at DK?

ShowMaker: Considering all the aspects, I think the contractual conditions proposed by DK are the best. Because I am a professional player, my annual salary is very important. I also considered new teammates and the prospects of the team, etc. Loyalty to the team also influenced my decisions. I debuted from DK, never changed teams, and have been active until now. Of course there will be feelings for the team.

Q: What does 2021 mean for ShowMaker players?

ShowMaker: I worked really hard and got good results in all kinds of tough situations. But the finale is somewhat regrettable. Next year's LCK should be even tougher than this year's. I will try harder to get into the World Series and perform well until the end.

Q: Like you said, I missed two consecutive World Championship titles right in front of my eyes.

ShowMaker: I played training matches with a lot of teams during the game, and everyone played well. We didn't suppress it, but learned a lot from our opponents. In retrospect, the final was a real shame. If the final is played well, it should be a satisfactory world match...

Q: What was the most memorable thing about this year?

ShowMaker: Anyway, it should be in the AD bit. Every pro should have imagined using Wayne to get five kills in a game. But I didn't think I would actually compete in another position. It should always be impressive. But don't want to play AD anymore haha. I like to win the single. As the saying goes, when you go out of the house, you will suffer, and there are many good players in the AD position.

Q: Competition in LCK Middle Road will be extremely fierce next year. What do you think are the advantages of being only showMaker?

ShowMaker: I'm really looking forward to next year, and the players who are coming back from overseas divisions, and I'm curious what kind of play they will show. I think my strength is that I'm very flexible. Depending on who the opponent is and what kind of hero I use, my ability to change the way I play is excellent. I want to be a middle single that my opponent doesn't want to meet, and I want to hear my opponent say, "That xx is really hard to handle."

Q: Are there any changes in the middle of the preseason version?

ShowMaker: The new version is really interesting. Fists also give AP equipment an increase in health. This version seems to want everyone to use AP Heroes. I prefer AP heroes, so I'm excited to experiment with a variety of gear like the "Crown of the Broken Queen".

Q: How determined is the 2022 season?

ShowMaker: Next year seems like a season for the LCK teams all in. Therefore, if you win the championship, you should be more happy than in previous years.
