Unfinished mission, hometown without return
In fact, Li Xuesan left his hometown very early and went out to study under the sponsorship of relatives.
After graduating from the Northwest Military Academy, he relied on his outstanding ability to serve as a platoon leader in the Kuomintang 26th Route Army.
However, on the road to "suppressing the Communists," Li Xuesan discovered the "true face" of the Communist Party:
Along the way, he saw the advanced slogan of "fighting the local tyrants and dividing up the land," and what he saw was a scene of equality between officers and soldiers and a deep affection for the military and the people.
This made Li Xuesan have a strong desire to join the Red Army.

Therefore, in 1931, Li Xuesan participated in the Ningdu Uprising, and the troops were reorganized into the Fifth Army of the Red Army, and Li Sanxue fulfilled his wish to join the Red Army, and subsequently joined the Communist Party of China.
After joining the Party, he participated in countless battles and held many positions.
He experienced the struggle in the Central Soviet Region, the Long March of the Red Army, the War of Resistance Against Japan, the War of Liberation, and so on, and together with the troops, he went south and north.
His selfless dedication, comrades-in-arms are in the eyes, often where the most arduous, where the task is the most arduous, he is transferred to where, always obey the organization's arrangements, showing a high degree of consciousness and professionalism.
In the more than ten years since the expedition, Li Xuesan has never had the opportunity to return to his hometown, and even the exchange of letters is very difficult. It is estimated that some people will ask, why is it so difficult to even exchange letters?
It should be known that Li Xuesan left his hometown since he was 17 years old, went abroad to study, joined the army, and perennially marched south and north to fight, drifting around, and living in an uncertain place. How easy is it to exchange letters?
After one or two, Li Xuesan cut off the news from his hometown, what happened in his hometown, whether his family was still alive, all this, Li Xuesan did not know anything.
More than ten years later, Li Xuesan has become deputy political commissar and director of the political department of the military, and in the eyes of ordinary people, Li Xuesan has been very outstanding and shining on the lintel.
Coupled with more than ten years of military career, far away from home, it is time to go home.
And Li Xuesan did not leave to return to his hometown, but waited until the war was not so tight, and the army passed through Henan, and then he moved his mind and planned to return to his hometown by the way.
When passing through Henan, Li Xuesan took the guards, got into a jeep, and rushed to his hometown as fast as possible.
First, he was like an arrow in his heart, and second, he did not want to delay the work of the troops, so he had to hurry up and hurry back.
Glory returned to his hometown and learned the truth
On the way home, Li Xuesan did not know what he would face when he returned home.
After Li Xuesan saw his house, he pointed to a house and said to the guards accompanying him very excitedly: "That is my home."
As soon as these words were uttered, Li Xuesan's exhaustion on the journey home seemed to have disappeared, and some of them were just the joy of meeting his family soon.
But as soon as he got out of the car, the scene in front of him made Li Xuesan feel very confused.
At the door of his house, there was an unknown middle-aged man doing carpentry work, but there was no trace of his family.
Li Xuesan and the middle-aged man looked at each other, and after a while, the middle-aged man at the door asked Li Xuesan if he was a descendant of the Li family.
Li Xuesan quickly replied that he was a descendant of the Li family.
After receiving Li Xuesan's affirmative answer, the man told him what had happened to the Li family when Li Xuesan was not at home.
Li Xuesan learned from the middle-aged man's mouth that the enemy entered the village shortly after Li Xuesan left home. After the enemy entered the village, he killed many villagers, and Li Xuesan's mother was one of the villagers who were killed.
After listening, Li Xue froze for a moment and continued to listen to the man tell the story of the family.
Li Xuesan's younger brother was killed in an operation to cover the retreat of the troops...
The news of his mother's death had made Li Xuesan like a thunderbolt in the clear sky, and the news of his brother's sacrifice was undoubtedly worse for Li Xuesan.
Li Xuesan's sister married into another village.
Because of the death of his mother and brother, his sister got married, and Li Xue's three families had no one to live in. Therefore, the middle-aged man lived in the house of Li Xuesan's family.
After listening to the man's words, Li Xuesan did not return to his senses for a long time. For a time, Li Xuesan, who had returned home to visit his relatives, was gone.
Li Xuesan suddenly failed to accept the fact that his relatives had died one after another, and after a period of silence, Li Xuesan returned to his senses and had his only sister.
But because his sister married when he was not at home, he didn't know where his sister had married. In order to be able to see his sister, Li Xuesan thought of a way to find help from the village cadres.
In front of the grave of a loved one, gunshots rang out
Coming to the village, li Xuesan and the guards' attire attracted the attention of the villagers.
The villagers all gathered and wanted to know what was happening. After a while, the villagers surrounded Li Xuesan and the guards, but no one took the initiative to talk to Li Xuesan, it was obvious that he had been away from home for many years, and many people in the village did not know Li Xuesan.
And Li Xuesan did not know who the current village cadres were, in order to find the village cadres, Li Xuesan and the guards decided to ask the villagers. "Where are your village cadres?" The guard asked.
"I am." The village cadre walked out of the crowd, but he did not expect that the village cadre was in the crowd, and the village cadre recognized the officer in front of him at a glance, which was Li Xuesan, a villager of that day.
After the greeting, Li Xuesan explained his purpose of coming to him this time.
After understanding the ins and outs, the village cadres arranged for Li Xuesan and his party to spend the night at the local primary school, and sent someone to notify Li Xuesan's sister to come to the village.
Although it was back home, it all became so different. On this night of spending the night in elementary school, Li Xuesan thought a lot.
The next day, Li Xuesan's sister, accompanied by villagers, came to Li Xuesan's primary school where she spent the night.
As soon as they saw the Li family, they hugged and cried, and the villagers were touched by this scene.
After years of not seeing each other, three words and two words could not explain the suffering experienced by the two people over the years, and the tears contained the hardships and sadness of the two people for many years.
After the two calmed down, they decided to go to their mother's grave.
Because Li Xuesan went home to visit his elderly mother in his hometown, naturally there was no firecracker prepared.
And because it is not the time to sweep the grave, there are naturally no firecrackers for sale in the village, so Li Xuesan did not buy firecrackers.
Under the leadership of his sister, Li Xuesan and his sister came to their mother's tomb together. In front of his mother's grave, Li Xuesan did not speak for a long time, and his eyes were full of sadness and self-blame.
The attentive guards watched the chief's every move. Suddenly, gunfire rang out, and it turned out that the guards had strafed the sky with the gun in their hands. Instead of the sound of the gunshots, it was as deafening as the firecrackers.
In such a serious environment, why did the guards dare to shoot at the sky?
In fact, this sound of gunshots contains too many complex emotions. It is a mourning for the chief's relatives, it is a catharsis of resentment against the enemy, it is... The sound of gunshots is never as simple as sound, gunshots can contain too many emotions, and can also replace too many words.
For Li Xuesan, losing two close relatives and not being able to send them on their last journey is a regret that cannot be repaired in his life.
However, if the time goes back to the year when he went out to study and joined the army, the same fate choice, in front of Li Xuesan at one time, I believe he will still make the same choice.
In the torrent of the times, there will always be such a group of revolutionaries who have the world in mind and selfless dedication, and it is precisely because of their efforts that there will be today's stability and peace.
On the Korean battlefield, make another meritorious achievement
Soon after, the founding of New China was founded, and construction was carried out in full swing throughout the country, and the whole country was in a new atmosphere.
However, the outbreak of the Korean War not only touched the hearts of the people of the whole country, but also became more and more obvious as the war became more and more tense.
Subsequently, China opened the prelude to the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. Li Xuesan, on the other hand, did not hesitate to participate in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and repeatedly made meritorious contributions.
And General Li Xuesan also received the honor he deserved:
In October 1953, Li Xuesan was awarded the Order of the National Flag of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the Order of Independence and Freedom of the First Class, and the National Flag Medal of the Second Class.
In 1955, he was awarded the rank of lieutenant general, the Order of August 1, Second Class, the Order of Independence and Freedom, First Class, and the Liberation Medal, First Class. In 1988, he was awarded the Medal of Merit of the Red Star, First Class.
Even Chairman Mao said that Comrade Li Xuesan "is a pure person, a person who is not selfish and specializes in benefiting others, a person who benefits the people", which is worthy of our eternal study.
There was a beam of light ahead that illuminated the darkness
In Wuxiu County, Li Xuesan's hometown, there is a martyrs' cemetery with a statue of General Li Xuesan:
It was the image of him in a military uniform, his eyes looking resolutely ahead, with a kind smile on his face. Six medals are carved on the chest, and beside him are carved green mountains, the Great Wall and pine cypresses.
On the black marble slab in the lower right corner, five large golden characters are carved: General Li Xuesan.
On the back of the statue is a brief introduction of General Li Xuesan.
Every Qingming Festival, the broad masses of people and students spontaneously go to the martyrs' cemetery to offer flowers, sweep tombs, and learn the deeds of the martyrs.
And everyone's spontaneous remembrance action also echoed this passage of General Li Xuesan.com.
Comrade Li Xuesan said emotionally at the meeting of the General Logistics Department to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the victory of the Red Army's Long March: "We must not forget the countless martyrs who sacrificed on the long march road, and we must not forget and abandon the great spirit of the Long March, because our cause today needs it!" ”
Today's China is far from the smoke of gunfire and war, but we will not forget that there are countless martyrs who gave up the time they spent reuniting with their families, dedicated their life time, and even sacrificed their lives in exchange.
Under the asphalt road, in the wilderness and old forest, is the blood of countless martyrs, and our prosperity today is based on their sacrifice.
We who live in good days cannot forget them.
