The legendary game producer has been quite active on social media, and his recent holiday greetings just before Christmas seem to hint at the studio's next game project.
At first glance, this tweet posted by Hideo Kojima is just a simple "holiday greeting" wishing fans a happy Christmas, but the pictures attached to the tweet seem to players to have ulterior motives. The image, drawn by Metal Gear Solid character designer Yoji Shinkawa, features three characters who have never appeared in the Kojima Studios game, probably from a new project the studio is currently working on. Shinkawa recently collaborated with Kojima as the artistic director of Death Stranding.
