Different people in the past dynasties have stood at different angles and created different images of Li Bing, and the statue of Li Bing's father and son in Dujiangyan is said to be the most widely known shape.

What exactly is the original Li Bing? The two-episode humanistic and historical documentary "Shu Shoubing", jointly produced by the Propaganda Department of the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee, the Propaganda Department of the Chengdu Municipal Party Committee and the Sichuan Radio and Television Station, presents an unknown real Li Bing from multiple angles through vivid and magical folklore and with the help of unique expression techniques.
In the series of documentaries created by the Sichuan Historical Celebrity Cultural Inheritance Innovation Project created by the Sichuan Documentary Center, "Shu ShouBing" is special. Because Li Bing is different from Su Dongpo, Li Bai and other literary giants who left immortal poems, what he left behind is a water conservancy project that is still playing a value in the present world, the ecological concept of "cherishing water and ten thousand worlds", and the philosophy of "changing blockage into neglect". "Shu Shou Bing" crosses the long river of history of more than 2,000 years, passes through the world-famous Dujiangyan, regains a scattered story, and returns to the shaping of the characters themselves.
The first episode of the film focuses on the "art of water control", through the analysis of the core cultural spirit of Li Bing's water control - "dredging", interpreting the shining wisdom behind the idea of "changing blockage into sparseness, guiding by snobbery"; the next episode focuses on the "way to rule the world", through Li Bing's "road to becoming a god", explore the spiritual totem behind the official road of "people-oriented, benefiting the four sides".
History chose Li Bing, and Li Bing also created history. In a sense, his trend of going along the water not only created a "kingdom of heavenly palaces" that flourished because of the water, but also gave birth to the Shu people's lifestyle of leisure and self-sufficiency, as well as the character traits of calm and self-sufficiency.
In the choice of title, He Yujie, the film's general director and director of the Sichuan-Taiwan Documentary Center, has been deliberating for a long time. When Li Bing is mentioned, people often think of the great water conservancy engineer, but in fact, his official identity is that of Shu Shou sent to the local area by the central government of the Qin State, that is, an official. The construction of Dujiangyan is of course Li Bing's most remarkable achievement, but this is by no means all he has.
It was Li Bing, who boldly used a variety of construction methods to prevent large-scale projects from hurting the people's vitality when building Dujiangyan, and it was he who, on the basis of respecting the traditional folk customs of Shudi, dug salt wells to develop the economy and introduced iron to promote production... It is this concept of "guiding by the situation" that runs through the whole process that makes him eventually become a model of ruling the world, so that he is loved by the people under his rule, and even enshrined on the altar. It can be said that being a good "Shu Shou" is his original intention for the people, and it is also the responsibility he believes in all his life. This is why the title of the film did not directly use "Li Bing" instead of "Shu Shou Bing".
In terms of form of expression, the film crew boldly adopted a variety of artistic means to enhance the viewing of the film. The combination of sand painting and real people pays attention to "novelty", hand-drawn animation highlights "beauty", and miniature models emphasize "attractiveness"... These methods have enhanced the fun of the film and enhanced the audience's sense of presence.
