Feng Gong is a well-known cross-talk and sketch actor in China. He had a great-grandfather named Feng Guozhang, who was a "great warlord" during the Republic of China and served as the acting president of the Republic of China for a period of time. In fact, Feng Gong's grandfather was named Feng Jiayu, who was a very powerful industrialist during the Republic of China period. First, return from staying in Germany to build an arsenal
Feng Jiayu was born in Tianjin in 1888 and was the third son of the Republic of China warlord Feng Guozhang. In the sixth year after the birth of the Feng family, the Sino-Japanese War broke out. After this battle, his father, Feng Guozhang, became an attaché of the Qing Dynasty's envoy to Japan by virtue of his military merits. Feng Guozhang took this opportunity to go to Japan to make friends with military figures and learn a large number of advanced military science and technology ideas, so he projected on his education.
When Feng Jiayu was 16 years old, he was sent by Feng Guozhang to the Beiyang Martial Arts Academy. In 1910, Feng Jiayu returned to Zhili after graduating from the University of Berlin in Germany and began to establish an arsenal. He wants to build the most advanced weapons in the world for China. Unexpectedly, the "Xinhai Revolution" broke out the following year, and Feng Guozhang, who was politically allied with Yuan Shikai, suffered a great impact. Feng Jiayu's arsenal could not be managed due to the turmoil of the situation, and could only close its doors.
Yuan Shikai then declared himself emperor. Feng Guozhang opposed Yuan Shikai's restoration of the imperial system, so He Er and Yuan Shikai turned against each other. Feng Guozhang made a public telephone call afterwards to demand that Yuan Shikai abdicate, and at the same time went to Nanjing to organize a meeting to force Yuan Shikai to step down. But because someone was obstructing it, the meeting did not work. Because Feng Guozhang had previously married Yuan Shikai's tutor, the social public opinion at that time pushed Feng Guozhang and his family to the cusp of the storm. In the face of this situation, Feng Jiayu could only act in a low-key manner, stay at home, and did not dare to make a move.
In 1916, Yuan Shikai died, and Feng Guozhang became vice president of the Republic of China; in 1917, Feng Guozhang became the acting president of the Republic of China. In the same year, Feng Jiayu co-founded the Baoding Electric Light Factory.
Second, the electricity tycoon Feng Jiayu
China's electricity industry started five years earlier than Japan. The earliest lamp in China was lit by Bi Xiaopu in the Shanghai Public Concession in 1879. However, due to the decline of society, the popularity of electric lights in major cities in China will not wait until eighteen years later, when foreigners build jiaodong power plants in Qingdao. At the end of the 1920s, Feng Jiayu was the largest shareholder of Baoding Electric Light Co., Ltd. He and his shareholders invested in the three years, bought land to build a factory on the north bank of the Nanguan River in Baoding, and purchased the most advanced generator sets from developed countries in Europe and the United States to generate electricity.
