In June, Deviation Games, a new studio formed by former Call of Duty developers, announced a partnership agreement with Sony to create a new AAA title for it, and now its studio executives have revealed that the new project will be officially put into development in 2022.

Jason Blundell, the CEO of former Call of Duty studio Treyarch, organized the establishment of the new studio, Moment Games, which now has 100 employees. In a new video, Blundell says the team went through a rigorous post-formation phase and is now ready to start making their first game.
Presumably, Deviation Games' new game is most likely a first-person shooter, a genre that Brendell is familiar with. He claims that gameplay is crucial to the development of the team, and no matter how good the story is, it is meaningless without fun and addictive gameplay.
The new Deviation Games games won't start development until next year, which means they won't be announcing anything new anytime soon, but Sony has invested heavily in the studio, and its title is certainly worth the players' expectations.
