Nian Qianyao had a total of 3 sons, the eldest son Nian Xi, the second son Nian Fu, and the third son Nian Bin. Among them, Nian Xi is particularly outstanding, Nian Xi is young and talented, born in 1699, his mother is the daughter of Naran Sex de, so he received a good education from an early age. And Nian Xi is smart and studious, and he shows outstanding talent at a young age. Historical records record that Nian Xi was 12 years old when he was a zhongju person, which was the youngest age for the Qing Dynasty at that time.
Nian Xi did not re-enter the jinshi, but relied on donations to become an official, and before the age of 15, he became the inspector of Zhejiang Province. Of course, Nian Xi's promotion is more or less related to his father Nian Qianyao, after all, his aunt is a concubine of the Yongzheng Emperor and also belongs to the imperial family.
Nian Xi did not become a clumsy disciple because of his father and his prominent status. Because he was well educated since childhood, Nian Xi knows etiquette, and the most important thing is that Nian Xi is still a kind person. In March 1723, Nian Xi wrote a note to the Yongzheng Emperor, hoping that the Yongzheng Emperor would abolish the Lehu untouchables in Shanxi and Shaanxi provinces. These Lehu were all descendants of Emperor Jianwen of the Ming Dynasty, and after Zhu Di launched the Battle of Jingnan, he filled all the wives and daughters of Emperor Jianwen into the church and became official tricks, so these people passed on from generation to generation, and their identity did not change in the Qing Dynasty, and their identity was still Lehu.
After receiving Nian Xi's recital, the Yongzheng Emperor admired Nian Xi's suggestion, and he soon issued an edict to the lehus of the two provinces to "be open-minded and good". Officials in other provinces are also required to pay attention to whether there is such a situation themselves, and if so, they are exempt from this.
Judging from the Yongzheng Emperor's treatment of Nian Xi, the Yongzheng Emperor still admired Nian Xi. But Nian Xi is also indeed capable. Judging from the relationship between the Yongzheng Emperor and Nian Qianyao at that time, Yongzheng did not have any ideas about Nian Xiangshu, so it did not involve Nian Xi. They have great trust in their father and son.
Succeeded by the Emperor
Although Nian Xi is young and talented, his health is not good. In 1724, Nian Xi fell seriously ill, and this illness almost killed Nian Xi. But Nian Qianyao was fighting on the frontier and did not have the energy to come back to see his son. At this time, the Yongzheng Emperor came to the aid.
Yongzheng learned that Nian Xi was seriously ill, so he found someone to calculate for Nian Qianyao's father and son. Ancient people also had divination for illness, and the Yongzheng Emperor was a very life-believing person, who not only believed in Buddhism, but also liked fortune telling. After the fortune teller finished counting the Nian father and son, Yongzheng was very surprised after reading it, because the result of the calculation was Nian Qianyao's "eldest son of Punishment", that is, Nian Qianyao's future guilt would affect his son.
Now that the result has been calculated, there must be a way to crack it. And the way to crack it is very strange, that is, to pass Nian Xi over to Roncodo as a son. For this cracking method, the Yongzheng Emperor immediately made a decision, because Nian Qianyao was in the northwest to resist the enemy, and there was no time at all. However, after the Yongzheng Emperor passed Nian Xi over to Nian Qianyao, he also told him about the succession on the note written by Nian Xiangyao: "Nian Xi has been instructed to make Nian Xi and his uncle Long Keduo a son. Nian Xi's illness since this spring has only been managed, and the form is very dangerous, light and heavy, all kinds of treatment, fortunately, all of them are responded to, but not very effective. Therefore, it is not such a perfect person to think about this son. Recently, people have looked at his fate, and it is not bad luck at the moment, and the next luck has been good for decades, but you are now in the middle of the luck to punish the eldest son, so when this opportunity is moved, even Er's father has not discussed it, and he will send a good day. This son has nothing to do with you, and your uncle has changed his name and has naturally healed and strengthened since then. ”
In his reply, Yongzheng explained the results of the fortune telling, told Nian Tangyao kezizhi, and told Nian Qianyao to pass on his son to Long Keduo, and nian Xi's illness would be better in the future.
Since the Yongzheng Emperor let his son pass to Longkeduo, Nian Qianyao did not dare to say anything. And the happiest was Long Keduo, he did not expect that he suddenly had more sons, and he was also the son of Yongzheng's favorite minister Nian Qianyao. According to records, Roncodo also said: "... The gift of the Emperor is the same as that of God. Now in all its numbers, the great general who has ordered the emperor to be conquered, and the one who has been ordered by the three sons to be given, henceforth he will be naturally healed, and he will be greatly blessed by the emperor in the future. Roncodo said that he was supposed to have three sons, but only two, and now Yongzheng helped him realize it, just as the heavens gave him. Long Keduo also said to Yongzheng, "If the two of us look at it less than two people, it will be a negative emperor." That is to say, he and Nian Qianyao must do things for the emperor together, otherwise they will fail the emperor."
However, Yongzheng's cracking method did not work, and Nian Xi died prematurely due to illness not long after he gave it to Long Keduo. He was only 25 years old at the time of his death.
There is a reason within
For the matter that Yongzheng let Nian Xi pass on to Long Keduo, although It was caused by Nian Xi's serious illness, Yongzheng was able to do it with such a heart, and because he had just become emperor for a long time, there were many internal and external troubles, and a few disobedient brothers in the imperial court were still good to say, but he still had to rely on Nian Xiangyao for external problems. Therefore, by passing on Nian Xi, let Nian Xi's illness get better as soon as possible, and Nian Qianyao will not have to be distracted and distracted in the northwest frontier, and can help him stabilize the frontier.
However, the matter of "punishing the eldest son" is still paying attention to the careful Yongzheng. Although he stabilized Nian Qianyao, later Nian Qianyao's various actions also made Yongzheng dissatisfied, until Nian Qianyao committed a crime and Yongzheng just committed suicide. This is also in response to the fortune teller's words.
However, it cannot be denied that Yongzheng does not leak anything, and is calm and sophisticated. Judging from the environment at that time, it was precisely because Nian Qianyao solved many border problems in the border areas that the Yongzheng Emperor had the energy to attack his younger brothers who opposed him. And Long Keduo, although he has made meritorious contributions, for Long Keduo's scheming, Yongzheng of course understands that this kind of borrowing fortune telling, while knocking two important ministers around him, has to admire how deep Yongzheng's heart is.
