Following the publication of the poem "Blue Fire" in China this year, Shenzhen poet Wu Jinxiong's poetry collection "We Are All A Cactus in the City" will be published in the UK in January next year and distributed worldwide. Cambridge River Publishing House in the United Kingdom selected 30 classic poems from Wu Jinxiong's many poetry works, invited famous artists to translate them into English, and included them in his poetry collection "We are all a cactus in the city".

This collection of poems is included in the 100-volume selection of works of international poets "CamRivers" in Cambridge, England (bilingual in Chinese and English), which is a key project of Kanghe Publishing House in the field of Chinese and foreign literary exchanges.
According to reports, this collection of poems is named after Wu Jinxiong's very representative urban style poem "We Are All A Cactus in the City", showing his revelation and inquiry about the spiritual level of contemporary urbanites and the ultimate meaning of survival. It selects representative works written by Wu Jinxiong, presenting readers with a multi-faceted poet and a rich and delicate heart of the poet. For Cultural Exchanges between China and foreign countries, it also has positive significance.
Wu Jinxiong is a post-70s poet who has sought from carefully cherishing literary dreams and embracing the heart of a child. Now he has become a national second-level writer, a member of the Chinese Writers Association, a member of the Guangdong Writers Association, a member of the Shenzhen Writers Association, a member of the Shenzhen Literary and Art Critics Association, and a vice chairman of the Shenzhen Futian District Writers Association.
Over the years, Wu Jinxiong has worked tirelessly and maintained a strong creative force, and in recent years, many works have been published. A number of works such as the prose poem "Youth Totem", the reportage collection "Still Looking at the Present Dynasty", the prose collection "Ambition", the poetry collection "The Woman I Loved but Lost", "Short Song", "Blue Fire" and so on outline his life pursuit of building dreams first and daring to chase dreams. Especially this year, Wu Jinxiong launched his third poetry collection "Blue Fire", published by the Yangtze River Literature and Art Publishing House, bringing together his works published in important journals such as eight major poetry journals across the country. Wang Meng wrote the title of the book, Xie Mian wrote the preface, and the poetry collection was well received after its publication.
Wu Jinxiong is a poet who is particularly good at digging out the depth and thickness from ordinary people, feelings and events, and through his simple and concise words, he directly reaches the reader's heart. In his view, poetry is a truly profound life experience, and good poetry does not lie in the good use of various techniques and flashy rhetoric, but in being faithful to one's own heart and resonating with people is the essence of poetry writing. Therefore, he regards literature as a kind of record of life, using the most comfortable and pure words to paint a rare picture of life, allowing the reader to immerse himself in the details of his observation.
Xie Mian, a professor at Peking University and a well-known poetry critic, commented on Wu Jinxiong's poetry language in his collection of poems "Blue Fire", which was just published in June this year, with the phrase "what is not ordinary in the ordinary": "Wu Jinxiong's poems, the first impression is simple, clear, and even a little clumsy, but they reach people's hearts and make people feel kind. This is not 'separated'. Reading his poems is like a relative meeting, he unfolds to you a picture of ordinary life, these pictures with a homely atmosphere, the smell of earth, the smell of cooking smoke, kind and natural. ”
In the eyes of Yang Ke, president of the Chinese Poetry Society and a famous poet, Wu Jinxiong is essentially a poet with a chanting temperament, and his poetry is more obsessed with a poetic life: "He is a participant and witness to the life of the vast society, not just a language alchemist in the ivory tower." Writing poetry is not a job, poetry is an inseparable part of his life, a literal presentation of the poet's painstaking efforts. ”
Wu Jinxiong said that he is very happy that his poetry collection can be published in the UK, and hopes that through the language of poetry, a bridge of cultural exchange will be built and the world can have a deeper understanding of Chinese poetry and Chinese culture.
