According to statistics, there are more than 1,600 kinds of Various Chinese Medicinal Materials growing in Dandong area, among which dozens of medicinal materials with distinct geographical indications, such as Stone Pillar Ginseng, Schizandra, Eleutherococcus senticosus, etc., are well-known at home and abroad, laying a material foundation for Manchu medicine. In addition to local pharmaceutical entrepreneurs increasing their investment in Manchu medicine, some domestic and foreign entrepreneurs have also come to Dandong to invest. Japanese merchants cooperated with Dandong Kwangtai Pharmaceutical and invested more than 20 million US dollars to establish Liaoning Yuanshengtang Health Products Company to develop and produce full medicines; Beijing Jiuding Pharmaceutical Investment Company cooperated with Dandong Medical Innovation Pharmaceutical to invest 200 million yuan in the development and deep processing of Manchu medicinal materials such as eleutherococcus, schisandra, and Liaoxin. At present, there are nearly one million mu of medicinal material planting bases in Dandong area, and more than 100 varieties of medicinal materials have been produced, forming trademark brands such as "Yulonghu Brand Tianma", "Sen Ginseng Brand Short Stem Five Plus", "Huacuishan Brand Ginseng", "Big Pear Tree Brand Schisandra" and so on, with an output value of 9 billion yuan. In addition, the trading volume of Chinese medicinal materials in the Northern Shanqi Large Market in Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County exceeded 1 billion yuan last year.

In the production workshop of Dandong Pharmaceutical, the reporter saw that the workers were processing hawthorn pills and flavored eight precious mother paste. "Over the years, our company has been based on the theory of Manchu traditional medicine and Manchu folk remedies, using modern scientific and technological means and technology, to produce compound wooden chicken series products with independent intellectual property rights, which has been identified by the provincial government as a Manchu medicine engineering research center and a Manchu medicine production base in Liaoning Province." Zhang Xiujun, chairman of Dandong Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd., introduced to reporters that at present, they have a total of 6 dosage forms and nearly 10 varieties of full medicine products. At present, the construction project of the company's Manchu Medicine Technology Public Service Platform Workstation is progressing in an orderly manner, and the construction project of the Manchu Medicine Museum is actively preparing for construction.

At present, Dandong has more than 20 manchu medicine production and processing enterprises, and the main business income in 2013 is nearly 1.2 billion yuan. Fist products compound wood chicken granules, eight precious mother paste, jade bamboo powder and other products sell well at home and abroad. It is estimated that the main business income of the Manchu medicine industry in Dandong City this year (including the cultivation of Manchu medicinal materials) will reach more than 7 billion yuan, an increase of 37% over last year.
