According to reports, the UK government's antitrust agency recently ruled that the US social networking giant Meta must sell giphy, a GIF platform company it previously acquired. Meta said the regulator's evidence does not support the conclusion that the acquisition poses a threat to competitors and could affect market competition in the online advertising industry. A Meta spokesperson said the company had filed a complaint against the Competitive Markets Bureau's decision and would seek to scrap the order to sell the company altogether. (Sina Technology)
