The Chongqing Municipal Public Security Bureau, in close connection with the study of party history and the education and rectification of the public security contingent, regards "inter-provincial general office" as an important part of the practical activity of "I do practical things for the masses", promotes the reform of "decentralization and management of public security household registration management" in depth, and continuously improves the level of facilitation of household administration services. Since November 2020, the chongqing household registration window has successively opened the "inter-provincial communication office" of Sichuan-Chongqing-Chongqing-Chongqing hukou migration, newborn settlement, first application for resident identity card, and household registration certificate, which has served more than 82,000 people in Sichuan-Chongqing-Qian area.
The Ministry of Public Security has made it clear that the Sichuan-Chongqing-Qian area will take the lead in coordinating the docking of the "inter-provincial general office" of the national household registration migration, and the Chongqing police have widely solicited opinions and suggestions and decided to officially implement the "inter-provincial general office" of household registration migration from December 1 this year. It is understood that since December 1, all household registration transfer matters between Chongqing and Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, and Lhasa, Tibet can be implemented "inter-provincial communication"; the household registration migration between Chongqing and other provinces and cities due to work transfer, admission of students from colleges and secondary schools, graduation of college and secondary school students, husband and wife, parents to their children, etc. can be implemented "inter-provincial communication". The applicant only needs to voluntarily submit an application for the "inter-provincial general office" service for hukou migration to the public security organ of the place of relocation, and the public security organs of the place of relocation and the place of relocation cooperate to handle the transfer of the household registration, so as to achieve one-stop processing of the place of relocation.
