From the supply side, at present, Dushanzi Tianli and Fushun Petrochemical Butanone device is in a state of shutdown and maintenance, the above two factories overhaul mainly affect the supply of butanone in East China, North China and other regions of the market, in addition to Hebei Zhongjie recently stopped selling, and the maintenance plan was heard, but the specific time is undecided. The supply of goods in the South China market is relatively abundant, and the recent Hunan sec-butyl ester manufacturers have a small amount of butanone product output, which has supplemented the supply of goods in the South China market, but it is expected to have little impact. Therefore, the recent rise in the butanone market is mainly concentrated in East China, driven by the continuous rise in local market prices, the focus of discussion in the South China market has also followed.

However, at present, the main factor restricting the upward trend of the market is still the relatively weak domestic demand. Entering April, the demand for butanone downstream coatings, adhesives, inks and other industries did not improve significantly compared with March, and the overall rhythm of slow recovery continued. In order to balance the weakness of domestic demand, domestic butanone production enterprises through active export, according to customs data, in January-February 2021 China's butanone exports totaled 28813.75 tons, a significant increase of 89.8% over the same period last year. The main reason is that due to the impact of the epidemic, foreign devices are basically in low-load operation, so China's butanone export level in the first quarter is relatively high.
In the future, in April, in the context of no obvious gap in supply, relatively stable export volume, and slow recovery of domestic demand, if there is no further positive promotion, it is expected that the upside of the butanone market in the near future may not be large, and it is necessary to continue to pay attention to changes and impacts in factory device dynamics and market trading mentality.
